Coffee lovers and café regulars, here’s one for your July calendar. The Singapore National Coffee Championship 2026 is returning from 15 to 17 July 2026, bringing some of Singapore’s top baristas and coffee professionals together for three days of competition, creativity and serious coffee craft.

Organised by the Singapore Coffee Association, the championship will take place at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Level 1 Halls A, B & C. It will be held alongside SIGEP Asia 2026, as well as other F&B trade events including Specialty Food & Drinks Asia and Restaurant Asia. The SIGEP Asia website also lists the show dates as 15 to 17 July 2026, 10am to 6pm, at Sands Expo & Convention Centre.

67 Competitors Across Four Coffee Championships

This year’s edition will feature 67 competitors across four national-level competitions. Each category puts a different part of the coffee craft in the spotlight, from espresso preparation and hand brewing to latte art and palate accuracy.

The competition line-up includes the Singapore National Barista Championship, TIMEMORE Singapore National Brewers Cup, Singapore National Latte Art Championship and Singapore Cup Tasters Championship.

Returning names are also set to raise the stakes, including Elysia Tan, winner of the 2024 TIMEMORE Singapore National Brewers Cup, Lee Yip Choon, the 2025 Singapore National Latte Art Championship champion, and Tan Yi Xin, the back-to-back 2024 and 2025 Singapore Cup Tasters Championship champion.

At the same time, first-time competitors will also be stepping up to test their skills against more experienced coffee professionals, reflecting the growing depth of Singapore’s specialty coffee scene.

Winners Will Represent Singapore On The World Stage

For competitors, SNCC is more than a local showcase. Winners from each national championship will go on to represent Singapore at the World Coffee Championships 2027, competing with coffee talents from around the world.

The Singapore National Barista Championship challenges competitors to prepare espresso-based drinks across espresso, milk and signature beverage courses. The winner will represent Singapore at the World Barista Championship.

The TIMEMORE Singapore National Brewers Cup focuses on manual brewing, with competitors judged on precision, service and the quality of their hand-brewed coffee. The champion will represent Singapore at the World Brewers Cup.

For those who enjoy the visual side of coffee, the Singapore National Latte Art Championship will see baristas create detailed milk-poured designs judged on symmetry, contrast, creativity and presentation. Its winner will compete at the World Latte Art Championship.

The Singapore Cup Tasters Championship is all about sensory skill. Competitors must identify subtle flavour differences between specialty coffees, with the national champion moving on to the World Cup Tasters Championship.

A Closer Look At Singapore’s Specialty Coffee Community

Visitors can expect live competition showcases across the three-day event, offering a closer look at how Singapore’s coffee professionals approach brewing, espresso, latte art and tasting.

Beyond the competition stage, SNCC 2026 also brings together cafés, coffee professionals, brands and enthusiasts in one space. For anyone curious about the craft behind their daily cup, it is a good opportunity to see the technical side of specialty coffee up close.

The championship will also be presented with support from industry partners including TIMEMORE, which returns as key presenter for the Singapore National Brewers Cup and official provider of selected brewing equipment.

Other partners include GFS Everpure, CP Meiji, Pastry World, Six Four, T&Z, Cafeva, Scotsman, Hario and Cafe Specialists.
