Tiong Bahru diners have a new dessert to check out. rumeL at Tiong Bahru Plaza has transformed from a café into a full Italian casual dining concept, with a refreshed menu covering appetisers, sharing plates, handmade sourdough pizzas, freshly made pastas, Italian coffees, desserts and wines.
The refreshed concept officially launched on 28 June 2026, giving diners a more complete all-day dining option in the neighbourhood.
One of the biggest highlights is the debut of Singapore’s first Soffice Soufflé, a soft and airy Italian-inspired dessert that is made fresh to order. The outlet is also introducing Terra Verde wines from $5 per glass, available exclusively at rumeL.
Singapore’s first Soffice Soufflé debuts at rumeL

Taking centre stage on the refreshed menu is the Soffice Soufflé, described as a light, cloud-like dessert that is handcrafted to order and served warm.
Unlike Japanese soufflé pancakes, rumeL’s version is presented as an ultra-soft folded creation filled with cream and finished with toppings. It is designed to be soft, airy and melt-in-the-mouth, making it suitable for teatime or as a sweet finish after dinner.
The Soffice Soufflé is available from $8.80, with five flavours to choose from:
Honey Maple — $8.80
A golden, buttery soufflé finished with a warm drizzle of maple syrup.
Pistachio — $12.80
A nutty and fragrant option topped with rich pistachio cream.
Strawberry Cream — $12.80
A lighter, fruitier version layered with fresh cream and ripe strawberries folded into the soufflé.
Tiramisu — $12.80
A coffee-kissed soufflé inspired by the classic Italian dessert, finished with cocoa.
Nutella Chocolate — $12.80
A richer option with Nutella for hazelnut chocolate lovers.
Do note that the Soffice Soufflé is available exclusively at rumeL Tiong Bahru during two daily dining periods: 3pm to 6pm and 8pm to 10pm.
Italian casual dining dishes for sharing
Beyond desserts, rumeL Tiong Bahru Plaza now offers a broader Italian casual dining menu suitable for lunch, dinner, group meals and casual gatherings.
Diners can start with lighter options such as Caesar Salad at $9.80, Parma Ham Salad at $10.80 and Burrata Cheese Salad at $16.80.
For sharing, the new Canapé Platter comes in 6-piece at $6.80 and 8-piece at $9.80 options. The platter features bite-sized Italian-inspired appetisers including Caprese, Guacamole Bruschetta, Salsa Bruschetta and Hawaiian Skewers.
Seafood lovers can also order the 5-piece Calamari Fritter at $6.80, 6-piece Seafood Platter at $9.80 with calamari and fish sticks, or the 9-piece Seafood Platter at $13.80, which includes tempura prawns.
Handmade sourdough pizzas, pastas and Italian favourites
For mains, rumeL continues to serve its daily handmade sourdough pizzas, with flavours such as Hot Honey Cheese, Carbonara and Hawaiian.
The refreshed menu also includes freshly made pasta dishes such as Carbonara, Beef Bolognese, Aglio Olio and Mushroom Alfredo. Together with appetisers, sharing plates and desserts, the menu makes rumeL Tiong Bahru Plaza a more versatile option for casual meals in the area.
Terra Verde wines from $5 a glass

To go with the new full-service dining menu, rumeL Tiong Bahru Plaza is also introducing Terra Verde wines, which are sourced and imported directly from a South Australian winery.
The Tiong Bahru Plaza outlet is the first rumeL outlet to offer Terra Verde wines, with plans for the selection to be rolled out to other rumeL outlets in future.
The wine selection includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sparkling Chardonnay, giving diners red, white and sparkling options to pair with their meal.
Prices start from $5 per glass and $28 per bottle, making it an accessible add-on for dinners, gatherings or a casual after-work meal.

The Soffice Soufflé is only available from 3pm to 6pm and 8pm to 10pm daily, so plan your visit around these timings if you are heading down specifically for dessert. For groups, consider sharing the canapé or seafood platters before ordering pizza, pasta and soufflé.
