Beijing’s famous Peking Chamber 四季民福 has landed in Singapore, bringing its well-known roast duck and classic northern Chinese dishes to WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa.
For travellers who have been to Beijing, the name may sound familiar. The restaurant’s flagship near the Forbidden City is known for long queues, with waiting times said to stretch up to five hours. Now, Singapore diners can try the brand’s signature roast duck without taking a flight to China.
Founded in Beijing in 2008, Peking Chamber has grown into a restaurant group with outlets across Beijing and Shanghai. Its Singapore branch opened in August 2025, marking the brand’s first local outpost.
Famous Beijing roast duck at Resorts World Sentosa
The main highlight at Peking Chamber Singapore is its Roasted Tender Duck 酥香嫩烤鸭, prepared using a traditional hanging oven technique.
The duck is first air-dried before being roasted over fruitwood, giving it a glossy jujube-red finish, crisp skin and tender meat with a smoky aroma. It is priced at $118 for a whole duck and $68 for a half duck.
Diners can also look forward to the restaurant’s tableside carving ritual, where the duck is sliced and served with pancakes, sauces and condiments.
How to enjoy Peking Chamber’s roast duck
Peking Chamber recommends enjoying its duck in a few ways.
First, diners can try the duck skin and meat separately. The duck skin may be dipped in white sugar for a delicate, melt-in-your-mouth bite, while the meat can be paired with mashed garlic to bring out its natural flavour.
For the classic Beijing-style wrap, diners can place slices of duck with skin onto a pancake, add sweet bean sauce, pickled cabbage and scallion shreds, then fold it using the traditional “baby folding method”.
There is also a more contemporary version using the restaurant’s begonia plum sauce, which is imported from Beijing. The sauce is paired with Hami melon and cucumber for a fruitier, refreshing take on the dish.
For those ordering a whole duck, the remaining duck bones can be prepared as a second dish for an additional $15. Diners can choose between Deep-Fried Duck Bones with Spiced Salt or Duck Bone Soup.
Beijing and Shandong dishes on the menu
Beyond roast duck, Peking Chamber Singapore serves a range of Beijing and Shandong-style dishes.
To start, diners can try the Mixed Bean Sprout with Sauce 巧拌豆苗 at $19 per portion, featuring pea shoots tossed in a sweet, tangy and spicy dressing.
Another appetiser is the Tossed Three Delicacies in Sauce 捞拌三鲜 at $39 per portion, made with jellyfish head, shrimp and octopus.
For heartier sharing dishes, the Selected Grilled Lamb with Scallion 精品贝勒烤肉 is priced at $45 per portion. The dish features tender hind shank lamb stir-fried with scallions and served in a copper vessel imported from Beijing.
There is also the Braised Sea Cucumber with Scallion 葱烧辽参, a Shandong classic made with Dalian sea cucumber and Zhangqiu scallions. It is priced at $68 per person or $458 for a large portion.
Seafood lovers can consider the Deep-Fried Shrimp with Honey Sauce 蜜汁酥皮虾, available at $39 for 6 pieces or $65 for 10 pieces.
For a comforting noodle option, the restaurant also serves Noodles Served with Soy Paste and Side Dishes, Traditional Beijing Style 老北京炸酱面 at $12 per portion.
More signatures and traditional snacks
Other dishes on the menu include Deep-Fried Crispy Baby Eggplant 脆皮小仔茄 at $19 per portion, Stewed Chinese Cabbage and Chestnut in Thick Soup 浓汁栗子白菜 at $38 per portion, and Sesame Seed Cake Stuffed with Minced Pork 肉末芝麻烧饼 at $2 per piece, with a minimum order of two pieces.
For dessert or a sweet finish, diners can try the Beijing Style Snacks Platter 宫廷小吃拼盘 at $38 per portion. The platter features five handmade traditional Chinese pastries, including Lüdagun 驴打滚, Pea Flour Cake 豌豆黄, Kidney Bean Roll 芸豆卷, Aiwowo 艾窝窝 and Red Bean Cake 小豆凉糕.
