Starting the new year off with a toss of Fortune Abalone Yu Sheng to commence the grand entrance of luck into your life. Its sweet and refreshing start will set the red carpet for the subsequent stunning dishes.
The 吉祥 Auspicious Set ($368) is made for families of 5. The order of the meal begins with Fortune Abalone Yu Sheng, before digging in to Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crabmeat to warm your bellies. Devour the sweet flesh of a Hong Kong Steamed Soon Hock fish as you indulge in heartwarming conversations with family and friends. Gradually progressing to something heavier on the taste buds, savour the rich taste of Braised Pork Knuckle of juicy pork followed by Crispy Roasted Sesame Chicken for a taste of poultry. For a healthy touch, vegetables are presented with Braised Oriental Mushrooms with Fish Maw & Garden Greens before ending off with Braised Ee Fu Noodles with Mushrooms. For that cherry on top, Longan with Sea Coconut will provide that fresh finish with its cold and sweet addition.
The 如意 Fortune Set ($668) on the other hand is perfect for groups of 8. It also starts off with Fortune Abalone Yu Sheng and Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crab meat & Scallops for a more richer flavour. Moving on with a fresh fish is the Steamed Red Grouper with Minced Garlic & Soy Sauce before sinking your chopsticks into red meat served in the form of an Angelica Herbal Roast Duck. You would be delighted to know of the seafood that is included in this set: Superior Soy Sauce Prawns and the prosperously symbolic Ten Head Abalone with Oriental Mushroom. If your tummy is still unsatisfied with the portion of the meal, then Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice with Chinese Sausage will fill that empty void. Finish the meal with Double Boiled Peach Gum with Red Dates.
What is reunion dinner without Poon Choi? Pre-order a piping hot bowl of Poon Choi for five pax ($238) or eight pax ($388) now at Crown Prince Kitchenette! Crown Prince Kitchenette’s poon choi comes with the full works of yam, bean gluten, smoked duck, sea cucumber, cabbage, winter mushrooms, dried scallops, prawns and chicken mid-wings carefully layered with braised pork, dried oyster, fish maw and abalone for a kind of richness that is hard to find elsewhere.
The poon choi is available for dine in and takeaway. Pre-order is required.
