Not to worry, as Wild Wild Wet @Downtown East is bringing its visitors a trip to Thailand to experience its Songkran Water Festival.
Songkran Water Festival In Thailand
Held between April 13th – 15th, the Songkran Water Festival marks the beginning of the Thai New Year. The name ‘Songkran’ was established from the word ‘sangkrit’ which means ‘passing’ or ‘approaching’.
On this special occasion, crowds will splash buckets of water or use water guns on others to celebrate. It is also an event where families go back to their hometown to spend time with older relatives.
Though it is a festival celebrated in Thailand, many tourists and visitors tend to plan their trips to coincide with the dates just to participate in this big scale event.
Songkran Water Festival @Downtown East
With Songkran fast approaching, Wild Wild Wet @Downtown East is bringing a piece of Thailand to our shores. With water being an important element during the festival, guests can bring their own water guns and have fun in exciting water battles happening daily from 3.00pm to 5.00pm.

For guests who do not have water guns, do not worry as 50 water guns will be distributed at the entrance of the attraction.
Apart from that, the facility will also have spinning target boards along ‘Shiok River’ to get guests aiming for the bull’s eye. Guests can also spot a ‘tuk tuk’ and snap pictures with the thai-style decorations in the attraction.
Have fun while grooving with electronic dance music which will be played throughout the attraction and After battling it out and a fun swim, guests can head over to Ola Beach Club to enjoy a refreshing glass of Thai milk tea and other Thai snacks.
Due to the pandemic, safe distancing measures are still being implemented. Thus, do get your tickets early as only 50 people are allowed at ‘Shiok River’ and ‘Professor’s Playground’ during the event.
