A great method to relieve stress for some may be listening to music or podcasts, reading a book or watching television. For me, it’s by playing video games. Here, I’ll be highlighting my personal go-to relaxing games.
After playing for more than 80 hours, Stardew Valley’s clever use of simple graphics, has many beautiful sceneries that I love especially during winter season. Play as a burned-out office worker who relocated to the farm to start a fresh life. Every villager you meet has a different unique personality, with their past and secrets.
The main goal of Stardew Valley is to restore the abandoned community center by completing bundles through farming, fishing, mining and foraging. Though the game can be played alone, its great fun to play with friends as well! Play it on Steam here!
Initially launched in 2009 as GMod Tower, Tower Unite is a relaunched/remastered version of GMod Tower after its shutdown in 2016. Fans who loved GMod Tower would definitely enjoy Tower Unite.
So what is Tower Unite? It is basically the metaverse of games. Whether it’s arcade games, bowling, keyboard speed typing, racing games or full-on multiplayer games featuring zombie survival, racing in hamsterballs, minigolfing or gokarts, there’s a whole lot of things to explore and do! Link for the game can be found on Steam here!
Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you the player plays as a goose going around town, setting up pranks, stealing hats and generally ruining everyone’s day. The goose’s sole objective is to be a complete jerk to people for no reason other than being a “goose.”
The deeds required of you can range from stealing picnic food to stealing a gardener’s keys from his belt to untying a little boy’s shoelaces, scaring him until he runs away and trips, then quickly stealing his glasses and letting him blindly search the ground until you bring him the wrong pair back cause clearly human laws doesn’t apply to a goose. Though the entire gameplay can be short, it is something you shouldn’t miss out on. Check out the game on Steam here!
Take on the role of Jill, a bartender at VA-11 Hall-A, also known as “Valhalla.” Despite the fact that it’s simply a modest bar in the heart of downtown, it attracts some of the most interesting folks this side of dystopia. The key feature that distinguishes this graphic novel from others is the bartending action.
Though VA-11 Hall-A does a good job of giving a comprehensive bartending experience, personally, I appreciated the atmosphere created by the game. Interacting with the characters who come into the bar makes for a memorable encounter and adds more to the bartending atmosphere than just pouring cocktails. Check out the game on Steam here!
