Singapore is a seafood lover’s paradise. Seafood fans will be spoilt for choice as they explore their plates of seafood delicacies, with seafood eateries dotted across the country. But, with so many seafood restaurants to pick from, how do you choose which one to go to? Here are my personal picks.
Uncle Leong Seafood started out as a neighbourhood seafood restaurant and has since grown into a full-service seafood restaurant with locations in Punggol, Toa Payoh, and Anchorpoint. On a daily basis, they have been able to draw both domestic and international clients. Uncle Leong Seafood is a well-known Singaporean restaurant that offers both budget (Costing about $21 per dish) and high-end eating options. One of their most popular dishes, “Shimmering Sand Crab Delight,” was originally served in 2002 and has been popular ever since.

Majestic Bay
Majestic Bay has evolved into an industry standard for gauging Chinese culinary excellence, and it is more than just a “fine Chinese restaurant.” The Bay’s exceptional hallmark dishes, such as Pan-Seared Signature Chili Crab Meat Buns, Stewed Boston Lobster with Ee-fu Noodles, and Peking Duck with Lychee Pancakes, require no introduction on the menu if you are a regular. What they are probably most known for (to me at least) is their all you can eat dim sum buffet with a wide selection of food to choose from. Prices start at $32++ per adult which is pretty affordable especially for big eaters.

Opening Hours: Daily 11.30pm – 3pm, 5.30pm – 9pm
Dancing Crab is a restaurant chain based in Singapore with locations in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It is owned and operated by the well-known Tunglok Seafood Group and is a local favourite among Singaporeans. At Dancing Crab, wonderful seafood is prepared and served in an American-style manner. Prepare to get your hands dirty, because the main selling point of this seafood restaurant is their no-frills eating approach, which involves customers eating crustaceans with their bare hands. You may build your own meal experience with their Build a Combo option, which includes tea and a bottle of wine. It costs about $20 per person for lunch and $30 for dinner.

At New Ubin Seafood, they serve tze char style dishes which is usually a Chinese food booth that sells a variety of simple and inexpensive foods. New Ubin Seafood has become one of the best tze char restaurant chains in Singapore due to their 30 years of experience and great food. Steamed Egg Custard with Uni Sauce and Porridge with Tofu Butter are two of their best offerings that we highly recommend you try. A seafood meal here would cost around $47 per person on average.

The Boiler Restaurant is a Singapore seafood restaurant that serves fresh seafood that is boiled together, thus the name. The strong sauces at The Boiler are produced with a mix of western and Asian spices. The owner was inspired by the Cajun culture he discovered in Los Angeles, California in 2008, and it became his mission to reintroduce it to his homeland. He spent a long time perfecting the ultimate seafood boil recipe before discovering it. Even the most discriminating palates will be satisfied with the Boiler.
