Penang Culture is expanding its culinary delights with their outlet reopening in Compass One (#03-13) alongside an exciting collaboration with Ghee Hiang Bakery, a renowned heritage brand from Malaysia celebrated for its traditional pastries hailing from Georgetown, Penang.
Additionally, Heng Lee Sauce, a leading Malaysian manufacturer of traditional sauces, will be providing their signature sauces to enhance Penang Culture’s offerings in the zichar scene.
Ghee Hiang Bakery will feature their best-selling products, including Tau Sar Pneah ($13/16pcs), Beh Teh Saw ($12/5pcs), Hneoh Pneah ($13/16pcs), and Phong Pneah ($11.50/5pcs), offering a delightful mix of sweet and savoury treats.
Packs of Coffee ($13/pack of 8 packets or $10.80 per pack of 8 packets of less sugar) will also be available for purchase across all outlets.
For the main dish, Penang Culture and Ghee Hiang Bakery have collaborated to create the tantalizing White Kopi Chicken ($12.90), featuring Ghee Hiang’s signature white coffee. The chicken is deep-fried and then wok-fried with a coffee-infused sauce, promising a unique culinary experience.

But that’s not all – guests should also indulge in Penang Culture’s signature dishes like Mentaiko Ngoh Hiang ($8.90), traditional meat rolls infused with mentaiko, and Salted Egg Squid Fritter You Tiao ($9.90), a delightful fusion of flavours.
The new menu will debut across all outlets starting March 24th, offering delectable dishes such as Stir-Fried Royale Chives with Fried Hae Pi ($11.90) and Sambal Prawn with Petai ($15.90), along with desserts like Mango Pomelo ($5.90).
To celebrate the grand opening at Compass One, the first 50 customers at the new outlet on 24th & 25th March 2024 will receive a limited edition bottle of first brew soy sauce from Heng Lee.
Additionally from 24th March to 7th April 2024, patrons can enjoy a 20% discount on Ghee Hiang biscuits while stocks last, available at all Penang Culture outlets.
From 8th to 31st March 2024, guests can stand a chance to win a $50 dining voucher by following Penang Culture on Instagram, liking the giveaway post, tagging three friends, and commenting on why they’d like to win. They can also repost the story and tag Penang Culture for higher chances.
