Nesuto, a beloved local patisserie known for its artisanal Japanese and French-inspired confectioneries, has introduced a collection of pineapple tarts that seamlessly blend traditional customs with innovative creativity to mark the auspicious Year of the Dragon.

Stepping into uncharted territory, Nesuto’s debut of pineapple tarts adds a unique twist to the classic Lunar New Year snack with Brown Butter Vanilla, Roasted Tea (Hojicha) and Chinese 5-Spice flavours, making it an irresistible indulgence for the festive season.

Discerning and health-conscious snackers can enjoy munching on these flaky tarts as Co-founder and Executive Pastry Chef of Nesuto, Alicia Wong, has thoughtfully crafted their pineapple tarts to be lower in sugar and free from artificial additives and flavourings.

Brown Butter Vanilla Pineapple Tarts

For those with a penchant for nutty, buttery pastry, the Brown Butter Vanilla Pineapple Tarts, 280g ($29) presents a delightful combination of a melt-in-your-mouth crust infused with the rich flavors of browned butter, reminiscent of beloved almond financiers.

Paired with the exquisite elegance of Madagascar Vanilla and an elevated, house-made sweet pineapple filling, these bite-sized treats are irresistibly indulgent.

Roasted Tea (Hojicha) Pineapple Tarts

Fans of Nesuto and its Japanese-inspired treats can try the Roasted Tea (Hojicha) Pineapple Tarts, 280g ($29). Crafted with European butter and infused with premium Uji Hojicha tea powder, the crust offers a harmonious blend of smokiness.

The Uji Hojicha Tea complements the luscious sweetness and caramelized flavour from the pineapple and is sure to be a true Nesuto delight with every bite!

Chinese 5-Spice Pineapple Tarts

Completing the trio is the Chinese 5-Spice Pineapple Tarts, 280g ($29) that is set to impress at festive gatherings. Made with Nesuto’s traditional house-made five-spice powder that offers bold and aromatic notes of cinnamon, cloves, fennel, star anise, and Sichuan peppercorns, look forward to a perfect pairing with the tangy pineapple filling.

Elegantly housed in a glass jar, containing 23 pieces each, Nesuto’s Lunar New Year pineapple tarts are produced in limited quantities and will be available for pre-order with fulfillment starting from 18 January 2024 onwards.
