Ajinomoto Co., Inc. is bringing a sweet surprise to Singapore this festive season with Mochelie™, a brand-new mochi-filled almond tart created in collaboration with Atlr.72® and award-winning pastry chef Makoto Arami of AMI Patisserie. Available in three beautiful flavours, these tarts make a charming treat for gifting, snacking, or pairing with your favourite coffee.

And good news—these limited-edition creations will be available at Christmas pop-ups and food trucks across Singapore this December!

✨ What’s New: Meet Mochelie™

Mochelie™ blends the Japanese word mochi with the French chérie (“sweetie”). It’s a playful nod to its adorable, indulgent nature—think of it as a love letter between Japanese tradition and French pastry finesse.

Each tart features:

  • A chewy mochi centre filled with classic Japanese ingredients

  • A nutty crème d’amande

  • A delicate French shortcrust brisée

  • A festive chocolate wreath-inspired topper

  • And a sustainable twist—each tart contains Solein®, an innovative microbial protein produced using CO₂

Beautiful, thoughtful, and delicious—exactly the kind of dessert you’d want to give (or keep!).

🍰 The Three Festive Flavours

Each Mochelie™ tart is priced at $9.80 per piece and comes in these irresistible varieties:

1. Yuzu Fromage

Light, refreshing citrus paired with creamy cheese for a gentle, uplifting bite.

2. Sesame Noir

Smoky, earthy black sesame enriched with subtle savoury notes from the brisée cookie.

3. Azuki Matcha

A delightful balance of earthy matcha and sweet red bean paste tucked inside the mochi.

🌱 Crafted with Care for the Earth

In line with Atlr.72®’s mission to create a better future through food, Mochelie™ is made with less than one-third of the butter, milk, and eggs used in typical pastry recipes—reducing its environmental impact without compromising flavour.

Each tart is also adorned with delicate, nature-inspired designs to reflect its message: “Better together with the Earth.”
