Living an active life is important to staying healthy. By incorporating regular exercise along with a nutritious diet, these will improve your overall well being in the long run. Getting in some exercise especially when one works from home nowadays can be quite tough as leaving the comforts of your own home can be a chore. As such, here are some beautiful locations with scenic views in Singapore that you can visit to maintain your healthy and active lifestyle.
- The Rail Corridor
In the past, the Rail Corridor was a railway line connecting Singapore and Malaysia. From Tanjong Pagar (former) Railway Station to Woodlands Train Checkpoint, the corridor runs. In 2011, the train came to a halt. Since then, communities have begun to appreciate the railway stations and specific sections of the railway line. Many people even signed a petition to keep the railway corridor from being dismantled. Fortunately, the government chose to keep the railway corridor and develop it further in order to boost biodiversity and user experience.

- Sentosa
Yes, Singapore’s Sentosa Island is a renowned tourist destination. Sentosa Walk (which connects VivoCity and Imbiah Station), Imbiah Trail (which connects Imbiah Station and Siloso Point), Beach Trail (which runs along Siloso, Palawan, and Tanjong Beach), Coastal Trail, and Mt Imbiah Nature Trail are just a few of the jogging and cycling paths on the island. Because running at Sentosa on weekends might be challenging due to the crowds, I advocate doing so first thing in the morning.
Nearest MRT: Harbourfront Station
- Southern Ridges
The Southern Ridges is one of Singapore’s most popular jogging and cycling paths in the south. Kent Ridge Park, Hort Park, Labrador Nature Reserve, Telok Blangah Hill Park, and Mount Faber Park are among the five parks that make up the area. NParks has two routes that they recommend but I prefer this route, which runs from Harbourfront MRT to Kent Ridge Park and passes via Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, and Kent Ridge Park, begins at Harbourfront MRT and concludes at Kent Ridge Park. The overall distance is around 5.2 kilometers.

- Fort Canning Park
Fort Canning Park is a hilltop park in the heart of Singapore. Several historical buildings and landmarks may be seen in this 18-hectare park. The outer ring of Fort Canning Park is around 2 kilometers long. However, because there are so many paths around the park, you can create a variety of routes. As a result, it’s quite likely that you haven’t grown tired of the park by the time you’ve completed your fifth circle.
