Founded in 2017 in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, Honbo quickly gained fame for their fusion of local flavors and cultural influences, earning them several prestigious awards.
These include the Best Burger (Eater’s Choice) in Lifestyle Asia’s MMMs Awards 2021 and Bloomberg’s Best Burgers 2020.
Honbo’s commitment to quality begins with their daily in-house grinding of fresh USDA Double Gold Beef, free from preservatives, MSG, and additives. For a richer flavor profile, their patties comprise of the whole chuck, brisket, and short rib, for the perfect balance of flavors and textures.
The burger journey continues with their house-made potato milk buns that have a unique pillow-like texture with a delightful semi-sweetness alongside homemade pickles and other toppings.
Complemented with their specialty sauces such as their Flagrant Smash Sauce that contains yuzu, Honbo guarantees an extraordinary culinary experience like no other.
The Honbo Signature dish, the HONBO Burger ($18), embodies their take on the classic fast-food style cheeseburger, delivering a nostalgic flavor. Multiply the fun with the HONBO 1.5 ($23) that comes with three patties and HONBO 2.0 ($28) that offers four patties.
You can also explore other delightful options, such as the Teriyaki Chicken Burger ($18) for a non-beef experience or the Impossible Burger ($22) catering to non-meat eaters.
Look forward to their limited-time specials as well, like the Scallop Burger ($26) made with Honbo’s own crunchy wasabi Pico De Gallo concoction that will be available for only 3 months from Honbo’s opening.
Keeping things simple yet impactful, Honbo’s selected list of sides add to the burger experience with items like Fries ($7), Chili Fries ($15), Sweet Potato Fries ($8) and Buffalo Wings ($15 for 5pcs).
