Are you obsessed with skincare products? I know I am. Trying product after product to find the right match for my skin, I came across Glow Recipe and was immediately intrigued due to its adorable packaging!
Started and launched in the US with eight other curated brands, Glow Recipe made its way to Shark Tank in 2015 to present K-Beauty trends. Just last year, Glow Recipe started selling its products in Singapore via Sephora stores.
Having tested two of their products: Watermelon Glow Lip Pop (3.1g) and the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask (30ml) , both of these products were really impressive.
Watermelon Glow Lip Pop
This watermelon scented scrub-to-balm is packaged in a pink holder complete with its name printed on the lid. Pink and watermelon, such a great pairing. Furthermore, the product itself is pink! There are little red particles (coconut flower sugar bits) in the product, which helps to exfoliate the lips.
It also has a strong watermelon scent, almost like those old school watermelon flavoured bubble gums we used to buy in JB. Upon applying the product, it was lightweight and not sticky too. Overall, a smooth application and really kissable lips (wink).
The packaging says to apply three coats for tint; however, the tint was already starting to be visible only after two coats. Fascinating! Furthermore, it hydrates well and would work wonders for someone with dry lips.

Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask
Experience soft, subtle glow skin with the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask.
Just by looking at it, the colour of the packaging is pretty consistent throughout the watermelon products, pretty in pink. The texture of the product is quite interesting, almost jelly-like, similar to slime.
Let us talk scent. Similar to the Lip Pop, the facemask also has a pretty strong watermelon scent, however, slightly more subtle compared to the balm.
The product applies smoothly onto the skin. and only requires a thin layer. After applying and leaving it on for 10 minutes, the skin feels more hydrated and gave off a subtle glow.
Overall Verdict
Both of these products worked pretty well. The Lip Pop leaves a pretty tint, and the sleeping mask works wonders for someone with dry skin. Apart from that, it is great to bring along when travelling due to its portable size, containing 30ml of product. It is also available in a larger size, containing 80ml of product for those who are hooked on their products. This is definitely a keeper for those looking to keep their skin hydrated regardless of the difference in weather conditions.
Priced at $34.00 each, the two products are available in both physical and online Sephora stores. Glow Recipe also offers a wide range of other superfruits such as pineapple, avocado, blueberry and plum, making natural, fruit-powered skincare designed to help bring out your inner glow.
