May the 4th is an important day for every single fan of the Star wars franchise. It is often celebrated with fans cosplaying as their favourite characters, festivals and themed parties. However, the pandemic has made it impossible for us to celebrate the way we may usually do. Don’t worry, here is a list of things you can do to make it a day of unforgettable fun still.
Share The Wonders Of Star Wars Through Food
Image Credit: Star WarsFood is that one thing I believe that unites us all, no one ever says no to food as it is a necessity as well as a guilty comfort. You can make Star Wars themed food like Yoda pancakes and Bantha blue butter sandwich cookies. Making them with family members would be a great activity to bond over. While doing so, they will be curious on why the food resembles weird characters and confused over why their milk is being dyed blue. You can then take the chance to share with them the wonders of Star Wars.
Party With Disney Plus
With the blessing off modern day technology, you don’t actually have to meet your buddies to watch a movie together. With Disney plus, and thanks to the Group watch function, you can watch Star wars movies with your friends even if you can’t be together as the Fourth will always be with you. There is a full line up of Star wars films on Google plus, new to old, the collection is endless. I can safely say that google plus will be your best investment as a Star Wars fan.
Build a R2-D2
Image Credit: Star WarsLEGO has prepared a little surprise for all us fans. They will be releasing a LEGO version of the well loved R2-D2. There set will be for fans aged 18 and above, so you don’t have to worry about anyone laugh at you for owning a ‘children’s toy’. The set will consist of 2314 pieces and include a plague featuring a mini figure of R2-D2.
The last time a R2-D2 set like this was released was 2012, in addition to that this version is a Lucasfilm 50th anniversary special set. If I wear you, I will head down to a store as soon as they release along with the many other Star Wars sets
Pick Up The New Print Collection
Image Credit: Star WarsWith Star Wars: The High Republic that has been released in January this year, it has brought along a multitude of books and comics along with it. The High Republic explores Star Wars in way that has not been done before. There will be untold information of the characters we have all grown to love from every era of the saga along with information of the next characters like Sana Starros and Doctor Aphra. With this print collection, you will be able to expand your understanding of the Star wars galaxy.
Apart from the ones mentioned in the list, I’m sure that there are many other ways to celebrate. So what are you waiting for young Jedi? Go Fourth now.
