Many passengers find it difficult to bring liquids larger than 100ml onboard aircraft. Fortunately, airport personnel are there to assist us in these instances.
A woman, Yasmin Khatar recently encountered a similar problem when boarding an aircraft at Changi Airport. She brought shampoo and conditioner in larger bottles which exceeded the 100ml limit.
Thankfully, the Certis Cisco officer (Li Fang ) who handled her check-in went beyond the mile to help her.
Yasmin stated that her flight was scheduled for December 12th, about midnight. At 11 p.m., she began checking in for boarding.
Her trip was hampered, however, when the Certis Cisco officer on duty, Ms Wee Li Fang, informed her that she was carrying more than 100ml bottles of shampoo and conditioner.
Yasmine attempted to explain that the bottles were practically empty and the liquids were far less than the 100ml limit.
Nevertheless, Ms Wee pointed out, the restriction only applies to the size and capacity of such bottles, not their volume.
Yasmin then asked to keep only the conditioner, however regulations has to be abided. “I thought I could bargain my way out of it, but regulations are rules,” she explained.

Fortunately for Yasmine, Ms Wee devised a clever solution to her situation.
She mentioned that Yasmine had adequate time to put the appropriate drinks into travel bottles from the drugstore after double-checking her boarding pass. Yasmine happily took her advise and went over to collect her travel bottles, only to discover that putting shampoo and conditioner into little bottles was much more difficult than it appeared.
Ms Wee noticed her struggle and grabbed a spoon to aid in the transfer of the conditioner. Thankfully, the airport was less packed and Ms Wee had the time to help her out. Yasmine concluded her story by expressing her gratitude for Ms Wee.
Such act of kindness has really boosted the morale and reputation of Singapore alone as seen on the comments that this particular post generates.
