Food Republic at Jewel Changi Airport is reopening with a fresh new look, bringing diners into a nostalgic recreation of a 1970s Singapore hawker street.
The renovated food atrium officially reopens on 3 July 2026, featuring four Michelin Bib Gourmand vendors and 10 heritage food stalls serving familiar local favourites.
Located within Jewel Changi Airport, the revamped space is designed around Singapore’s iconic five-foot walkways and old neighbourhood streets, paying tribute to the communal hawker culture many Singaporeans grew up with.
A 1970s-Inspired Hawker Street At Jewel Changi Airport
The refreshed Food Republic @ Jewel Changi Airport draws inspiration from Singapore neighbourhoods in the 1970s, when five-foot ways were lively shared spaces where people gathered for meals, conversations and daily routines.
The space aims to recreate that atmosphere with heritage-inspired surroundings, while offering a wide variety of local and regional dishes under one roof.
Diners can look forward to everything from nasi padang, Teochew fishball noodles and Peranakan-style curry to zi char favourites, charcoal-grilled chicken wings, roast meats and claypot rice.
Food Republic was also awarded Sustainable Brand of the Year (Overall Brand) at the Retail Asia Awards 2026, recognising its efforts in preserving Singapore’s UNESCO-recognised hawker heritage.
4 Michelin Bib Gourmand Vendors In One Airport Food Atrium
A major highlight of the reopening is the line-up of four Michelin Bib Gourmand vendors at Food Republic @ Jewel Changi Airport.
These include well-known local and regional names serving Thai food, curry, fishball noodles and chwee kueh.
MP Thai
MP Thai will debut its first food atrium outlet at Food Republic @ Jewel Changi Airport.
The Thai dining concept, founded in 2020, was named after the owner’s two children and is built around family-created recipes. Its dishes feature secret homemade sauces, while selected signatures use rich chicken broth instead of water for deeper flavour and aroma.
MP Thai received the Michelin Bib Gourmand from 2024 to 2025.
Na Na Homemade Curry · Peranakan Cuisine
A familiar name for curry lovers, Na Na Homemade Curry · Peranakan Cuisine has received the Michelin Bib Gourmand from 2016 to 2025.
The stall is known for its family curry recipe dating back to 1989, made with a blend of Indian dried chillies, more than 10 herbs and fragrant coconut. Diners can expect spice-forward curry options with ingredients such as fish, chicken or mutton.
LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles
LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles brings its well-loved handmade fishballs to Jewel Changi Airport.
The brand began as a humble pushcart in 1968 and is known for handcrafted fishballs made with 100% yellowtail fish. Its fishball noodles are served with chilli-tossed noodles and crispy crackling for a comforting taste of tradition.
LiXin received the Michelin Bib Gourmand from 2022 to 2025.
Jian Bo Shui Kueh
Heritage Teochew chwee kueh brand Jian Bo Shui Kueh will also be available at Food Republic @ Jewel Changi Airport, located within the Toast Today drinks stall.
Founded in 1958, the brand is known for its soft steamed rice cakes topped with homemade preserved radish, also known as chai poh.
Jian Bo Shui Kueh received the Michelin Bib Gourmand from 2021 to 2025.
Hong Kong-Based Ai Shan Claypot Express Opens First Singapore Outlet
Food Republic @ Jewel Changi Airport will also welcome the first Singapore outlet of Ai Shan Claypot Express.
The Hong Kong-based claypot rice concept combines Hunan flavours with the texture of Hong Kong-style claypot rice. Each serving is prepared to create a crispy rice crust, using two types of rice, peanut oil from China and a homemade soy sauce made with more than 20 spices.
This will be one of the new regional additions diners can look out for at the reopened food atrium.
More Heritage Stalls Serving Local Favourites
Beyond the Michelin Bib Gourmand names, the reopened Food Republic will also feature other stalls serving comforting local and regional dishes.
These include Padang Lezat Authentic Indonesian Cuisine, a Halal nasi padang stall now run by the fourth generation, as well as Ju Fu Bak Kut Teh, which serves rich herbal broths.
Diners can also visit Yang Sayang Chicken Rice, another Halal option offering Singapore-style chicken rice.
