As 2025 wraps up and along with it our milestone SG60 year, Marina Bay is gearing up for one of the biggest New Year’s celebrations in recent years. The Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2026 returns with a full month of festivities, transforming the Bay into a glowing playground of art, music, community and jaw-dropping fireworks.

If you are already planning your year-end outings or choosing where to watch the fireworks, this mega celebration is one to bookmark. Here is your complete guide to all the highlights.

A Month of Festive Fun: Light Shows, Music, Markets and More

From early December to the final moments of 2025, Marina Bay will be filled with activity. Look forward to light projections, free performances, a massive Christmas festival and an immersive 360-degree fireworks display on New Year’s Eve. Whether you love the arts, enjoy festive bites or simply want to soak in the atmosphere, there is something here for everyone.

1. Brightening Lives Light Projection Show: A Moving Visual Tribute to Singapore’s Journey

One of the main highlights is the Brightening Lives light projection show. Returning with the theme Thriving Beyond Limits, this showcase will illuminate the façade of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore from 26 to 31 December. It features three commissioned artworks and five adapted pieces created by artists with disabilities from ART:DIS.

Presented together with The Majurity Trust, the show celebrates the resilience, creativity and unity that shape Singapore’s identity.

The artworks include:

My Island Home by Kenji Teo
A nostalgic look at the Singapore River, reflecting on the teamwork and perseverance that fuelled Singapore’s earliest days of trade.

Threads That Knit by Joy Koh
A colourful tapestry of everyday Singapore life, from void deck meals to childhood play, spotlighting the moments that connect us.

Future Takes Flight by Koh Jun Kai

A whimsical vision of a future where people, nature and technology exist in harmony, full of colour and imagination.

The showcase also includes three animated artworks originally featured in the SG60 National Day Parade fun packs.

The display runs nightly from 8pm to 10.30pm at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.

2. UOB Plaza 1 Light Projections: “Sharing Joy, Celebrating with Our Communities”

Adding even more sparkle to the skyline, UOB Plaza 1 will also host a projection display from 18 to 31 December. Featuring artworks from ASEAN artists, the programme is split into two themes. The Festive segment from 18 to 25 December celebrates giving and togetherness. The Countdown segment from 26 to 31 December looks forward to a thriving future for Singapore.

3. Togetherland by World Christmas Market: Now Twice the Size

Togetherland is back and bigger than ever. Held at the expansive Bayfront Event Space covering 20,000 square metres, the market runs from 11 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. The theme this year is A Christmas Constellation, bringing immersive, creative and sustainable attractions to the forefront.

Expect food stalls, interactive displays, festive installations and plenty of photo opportunities.

4. Free Performances at Esplanade: Local Artistes Shine

December at the Esplanade means the return of Come Together, the popular year-end series of free performances. Local talents such as Hey Pelican!, Amni Musfirah and Heema Izzati will perform at the Esplanade Concourse and the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing evening by the waterfront.

5. ELYSIUM: A 360-Degree Countdown Fireworks Display

The centrepiece of the celebrations is ELYSIUM, a 360-degree fireworks musical taking place around Marina Bay. This year’s fireworks include 30 minutes of pyrotechnics across four themed segments, accompanied by a specially curated one-hour musical score.

The display begins at 11pm on 31 December and will surround the entire Bay. Popular viewing spots will fill quickly, so plan to arrive early.

6. Crowd and Traffic Advisory

Visitors should expect crowd-control measures, as some areas will close once they reach maximum capacity. Cycling will not be allowed in key zones. The open-air carpark beside Bayfront Event Space will be closed. Some MRT exits may be temporarily closed to manage crowd flow. Longer waiting times for public transport are expected, so patience and planning ahead will make the experience smoother.

A Fitting Finale to SG60

Whether you are heading down for the festive markets, the stunning light projections, live performances or the grand fireworks finale, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2026 offers a vibrant and meaningful way to close the SG60 year. Bring your friends and family, soak in the atmosphere and welcome 2026 in spectacular fashion.
