Unveiling six Chinese New Year set menus that will be available from 9 January to 5 February 2023, YUNNANS features lip-smacking and specially curated dishes for the Year of the Rabbit!
The Prosperity Abalone Yu Sheng (Regular – $68.80; Large – $88.80) is a combination of white shredded carrot which will be arrayed to form an adorable rabbit, and it is accompanied with plump whole abalones! The dish is reasonably priced for its aesthetics as well as the ingredients that goes well together.
Dishes available only during the Chinese New Year period will also be making a comeback. This includes the Prosperity Treasure Hot Pot (Regular ($328) – 6 pax ; Large ($468) – 8 pax with an additional at $40 per pax), whose golden broth base is stewed for six hours with a medley of ingredients.
The hotpot is then arrayed with exquisite and auspicious ingredients that is bountiful and plenty which making up a delicious broth that will tantalise your tastebuds.
New surprises will also up the indulgence such as the Crispy Roast Chicken which uses the tender meat of a 1.2kg young chicken. Marinated with five-spice powder and served with an in-house chilli sauce made with seven types of Yunnan’s chillies, enjoy its thin and crispy skin with a salt and pepper dry dip that enhances its overall flavour and taste.
There is also the Sauteed Tiger Prawns with Superior Soy Sauce ($38.80) that is made with a blend of premium soy and nine types of specially curated ingredients including spices and aromatics. The giant prawns are flash-fried until the shell is crisp and then stir-fried in the fragrant soy sauce mix. Best eaten with your hands, enjoy the finger licking good sauce that will have you asking for a second serving.
Fed on plants and vegetables, the Steamed Jade Perch is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, and boasts a silky and delicate texture. Their Jade Perch is sourced from a kelong farm in Singapore and diners can choose between two preparation methods – Spicy Garlic Lime or Hong Kong style.
