Wild Wild Wet is the country’s second-largest waterpark and Singapore’s first integrated water park resort. This waterpark appeals to people of all ages, with many attractions and amenities ranging from family-friendly to thrilling. Let’s take a look at some of the popular attractions available.
-
Royal Flush
This is Asia’s first hybrid ride, combining the Behemoth BOWL40 and TornadoWAVE rides into one! Slide down the tunnel and near-vertical wall with your mates on a raft. Scream your lungs out as you fall into the basin and are physically rinsed away. I would have flown off the ride if it hadn’t been for the fact that I was clinging on for dear life! Please note that this ride requires a minimum height of 1.22m. Do expect a long queue for this ride due to its popularity!
-
Vortex
At breakneck speeds, this ride has tremendous turns and curves. The Vortex is Singapore’s first high-speed 360-degree extreme looping attraction, with most of the ride being hidden from view. The journey up (5 stories) can be exhausting, but the ride is well worth it. It should be noted, however, that it has a high-top speed and will be great for adrenaline junkies that are not claustrophobic. This ride requires a minimum height of 1.22m.
-
Torpedo
The Torpedo launches you from an 18-meter-high capsule into a free-fall and a high-speed tube slide. This ride, which is the first of its type in Singapore, drops you from four stories up and takes you on a 360-degree loop. The countdown that occurs before the catch is released is the most terrifying element, but the trip itself is rather short. A minimum height requirement of 1.22 meters is necessary.
-
Kraken Racers
The Kraken Racers are Singapore’s first four-lane mat racer ride, and they make quite a splash! This is a fun ride to go on with your friends—just remember to get a mat before stepping up to the starting line. Compete with your buddies through the twisting tunnels and experience the rush as you speed down the lanes! Keep in mind that you must be at least 1.07m tall.
-
Free Fall
At first glance, this near-vertical water slide appears to be the most terrifying of all the rides. You might be a little afraid as you glance down and see the entire park, but you won’t have time to scream before plunging down one of Asia’s longest free-fall water slides and splashing to the bottom. Please note that this ride requires a minimum height of 1.22m.
-
Kid Zone
This is one of Wild Wild Wet’s best attractions, and it’s ideal for the children. When you visit a water park, likely it is to entertain your kids who are bored from staying at home or school for too long. The Kid Zone is essentially a kid-friendly, pint-sized replica of the thrilling slides found throughout the park. The water depth in the landing pool is only 0.45m, and some rides may require water tubes, but you can be assured of a splashing good time for your little ones.
To avoid the lines and have more time to explore the rides, I recommend going at off-peak hours, with friends and family. Before visiting Wild Wild Wet, make sure to check the weather forecast too!
