Imagine the moments when you groggily descend from your bed for a brief trip to the toilet in the middle of the night and begrudgingly thought to yourself “I shouldn’t have finished up that glass of wine earlier…”
While heading back to your room, “BAM!”, an unexpected fragrance of fresh bakes hits you up. As your olfactory system is pleasantly awakened, you put on your detective’s hat and started whiffing around getting to the bottom of it. Right then, you realised that your neighbour from the kitchen of The Late Night Bake is hard at work, making sure that their customers receive fresh bakes first thing in the morning.
Welcome to the era where confectioneries are not just your standard brick and mortar shop in the neighbourhood, but the flourishing home bakers that could just be living right next door!
The Late Night Bake (IG: @tlatenightbake) made its debut in June 2021 and now, they are presenting their Belgian Dark Chocolate C’est Lava cake on their menu. (Psst… seemingly the bakers have been busy with R&D, and from the grapevine, we learnt that new flavours will be coming soon!)
Their Belgian Dark Chocolate C’est Lava cakes come in 3 different sizes, 4-inch ($18), 6-inch ($48) and 8-inch ($68) which will suit any occasion. It is definitely a treat that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy all over. On the outside, what you get is a cake that is rich yet fluffy with a warm, gooey and rich molten lava centre. It is a dessert to complement your next dinner party or a simple home date.
Health-conscious individuals will be pleased to know that a less sweet option is available as well. Drop an Instagram DM @tlatenightbake to order at least 3 days in advance before your intended delivery date. For orders below $70, a $10 flat fee is required for islandwide delivery (additional $5 for Tuas/Sentosa). This is a dessert that will not disappoint.
