Streetwear Aesthetic
This last one is my absolute favourite and I guess I dress like this all the time. Streetwear is a common term in the modern world of fashion which originates from the Californian roots and skate culture.
It is also inspired by Hip Hop fashion. Established in the 1970s during the early years of punk rock and Hip Hop, streetwear remains relevant till this day. Back in the 1970s to 80s, the ‘do-it-yourself’ aesthetic of punk was circulating, which resulted in many surfers and skaters adopting it.
It is styled with casual clothing and comfortable items such as jeans, t-shirts, hoodies and sneakers. Streetwear is usually loose-fitting, baggy and kind of shapeless. It can also be styled with accessories such as headwear such as bandanas and beanies for that hip look.
