One of the best parts of the holiday season, beside hanging out with our loves one, is curling up on the bed with some chips and of course the beverages of your choice while watching tons of Christmas movies.
Don’t waste your time in these festive season searching ups and down across different streaming platform. Frets not as I had taken the liberty to watch through all the possible movies ranging from Action, Rom-Com (Romantic Comedy), to family friendly. It might not be the BEST, but here are some you may consider.
1) Home Alone
Although Macaulay Culkin has grown up to be a 40plus year old man already, we would feel rather fond or attached to this classical Christmas movie. For those who have not watch the movie before, here’s a short summary of it: An eight-year-old kid name Keving McCallister was left behind by his family who fly off for Paris without him accidentally. While his parent trying their best to fly back to America to reunite with him, burglars try to break into Kevin’s home. With much hilarity, Kevin successfully defends his home with his weird ethics such as using tarantulas and crafted cardboard cut-outs.

2) Die Hard
It is definitely not your traditional Christmas movie and of course children should not be around when you are planning to watch this movie. If you are a sucker for a good action movie, you will agree that Die Hard (1988) will be one of the best action Christmas movies. Yes, there are guns and violence and no Christmas mood in it. However, despite all of the killing, the theme of Christmas is strongly instilled throughout the movie. Additionally, in the finale, the good conquers evil, which has to be the ultimate Christmas theme.

3) Elf
Elf may not be considered as a typically romantic comedy but fret not it is. With Will Ferrell acting as Buddy the Elf, one of Will Ferrell’s most iconic movie character, this movie is a must to watch. Leaving the North Pole for New York City in the hope of reconnecting with his birth father, Buddy learns a few things about the ‘real’ world while spreading the Christmas fever.

4) The Snowman
The Snowman is relatively simple yet magical movie that is a firm favourite on any Christmas movies list. The animated movie is a great family hit. Beside the stunning pictures and the magical world, the story takes place in, the mesmerizing music that accompanies you throughout the movie can calm one down and even send one to a deep sleep. This is a perfect movie to watch on the night before Christmas.

5) The Nightmare Before Christmas
For something a little spookier, the master of melancholy, Tim Burton, turns a typical Christmas movie into a real nightmare as suggested from the title, featuring a werewolf, vampires and singing skeletons. If you can accept the fact that this movie takes place in Halloween Town, you will be amazed by the good animation, well thought out and written holiday musical with a spooky twist.
