When you’re yearning for some traditional Japanese cuisine, there are plenty of choices thanks to the boom of Japanese eateries in Singapore. Every Japanese restaurant in Singapore serves delectable and reasonably priced Japanese cuisine. If you want to eat Japanese food, finding a restaurant that serves this type of cuisine is not difficult. However, finding a restaurant that sells well made, authentic Japanese food might be a challenge. Here is a list to help you guys solve that problem.

Chikuwa Tei

Chikuwa Tei on Mohamed Sultan Road serves delicious Japanese cuisine. It is the Yoi Group’s flagship restaurant, which opened in 2015. This restaurant promotes Japanese cuisine using high-quality Japanese imports and traditional techniques. Its wide menu is responsible for attracting a large number of guests every day (pre-covid of course). Furthermore, it provides the greatest chirashi-don, so don’t miss out on trying it while you’re there. If you feel like splurging, get their delectable wagyu beef and handcrafted nigiri sushi to experience workmanship of their well-trained chefs.

Location: 9 Mohamed Sultan Rd, Singapore 238959

Opening Hours: 11:30am–3.00pm, 6.00pm–10.00pm (Mon – Sun) | Delivery

Tokyo Soba

This rustic soba business isn’t the type of place you’d want to bring a huge group of your buddies to. The tiny café has a limited number of seats (mainly two-seaters), so it’s perfect for dates. They specialise in serving freshly prepared soba in both hot and cold varieties. Noodles are created using 80 percent imported from Japan buckwheat flour and 20% ordinary flour for a silky, slurp-worthy texture. The noodle goes well with the side dishes they offer like succulent pork cutlets to sweet corn fritters and many more.

Location: 12 Gopeng St, #01-16 Icon Village, Singapore 078877

Opening Hours: 11.30am-10.30pm (Mon – Sun) | Foodpanda

YAYOI

Enjoy a nutritious dinner with your loved ones at YAYOI. YAYOI is certainly one of Singaporeans’ favourite Japanese restaurants, serving reasonably priced and tasty food. It definitely lives up to its reputation by providing a quiet and pleasant atmosphere for all diners. The menu is extensive and has been designed to showcase the greatest home-style cuisine. A meal here truly feels like a dinner made by a Japanese grandmother. The best part is that, the dishes here are crafted to provide you with a well-balanced and nutritious dinner, so there’s no guilt involved!

Public Izakaya

The ambiance of Tokyo’s time-honoured taverns is well captured at Public Izakaya. For good cause, it’s virtually always filled to the roof with customers. The music is great, the pricing is reasonable, and the meal is always delicious regardless of the location you visit. Sumiyaki, oden, tempura and donburi are all great but the Takoyaki here just blows the competition out of the water. In addition to all this great food, happy hour is all day!

Location: 100 Tras St, #01 – 09, Singapore 079027

Opening Hours: 11.30am-2.30pm, 5.30pm-1.00am (Mon – Fri) 5.00pm-1.00am (Sat – Sun) | GrabFood

Japanese cuisine has long been regarded as one of the greatest to eat everywhere. These Japanese restaurants are just a few of the best places to eat in Singapore. If you are ever craving Japanese, just remember to pull out this list.
