Craving Penang food but not planning a trip across the Causeway anytime soon? 21 on Rajah is bringing the flavours of Penang to Singapore with its new Kedai Penang Buffet, available for a limited time from 22 June to 10 September 2026.

The buffet, held at 21 on Rajah within Aloft by Marriott Singapore Novena East Wing, features more than 40 Penang and Malaysian-inspired dishes on rotation. Diners can look forward to hawker-style favourites, Mamak-inspired classics, Nonya dishes, DIY stations and durian desserts.

There are also dining promotions during the buffet period, including Dine 4 Pay 2 for lunch and Dine 4 Pay 3 for dinner.

Penang favourites with seafood, noodles & carving station highlights

One of the key dishes to look out for is the Kam Heong Crab, available on rotation during weekend brunch and dinner.

The dish features fresh mud crab stir-fried with curry leaves, curry powder, dried shrimp, chilli and garlic. The result is a fragrant, mildly spicy sauce that pairs well with the crab’s natural sweetness.

Seafood lovers can also keep an eye out for the Steamed Whole Seabass in Signature Nonya Gravy, available on rotation during all sessions at the carving station. This Peranakan-style dish comes with a spicy and tangy gravy, served with tender whole seabass.

Also appearing on rotation during weekends is the Teochew-style Braised Beef Short Rib. The beef ribs are slowly stewed in an aromatic Chinese-style gravy until tender.

Penang Char Kuey Teow, Assam Laksa & Ayam Percik

Of course, a Penang-themed buffet would not be complete without noodles.

The Penang Char Kuey Teow with Cockles features flat rice noodles stir-fried with soy sauce, fresh prawns, crunchy bean sprouts and blood cockles. Diners who enjoy wok hei and savoury street food flavours will likely want to add this to their first plate.

Another dish to look out for is Chef’s Penang Assam Laksa, prepared live à la minute and available on rotation at the noodle station. Unlike Singapore-style laksa, this Penang version is known for its tangy, spicy and savoury mackerel broth, served with rice noodles, herbs and vegetables.

For weekday lunch diners, the buffet will also feature Ayam Percik, available on rotation during weekday lunch only. The Malaysian-style whole grilled chicken is basted with a spiced coconut milk gravy while grilling, giving it a smoky char and creamy, savoury-sweet finish.

More Malaysian-inspired dishes and DIY stations

Other dishes on the buffet spread include Udang Masak Lemak Nenas, a Nonya-style coconut pineapple prawn dish, as well as Grilled Char Siew Lamb Flap, Penang-style Beef Short Ribs Herbal Soup and BBQ Grilled Chicken Wing seasoned with Five Spice Powder.

Diners can also head to the DIY stations to make their own Penang Fruit Rojak, Kueh Pie Tee and Chendol.

For dessert, the buffet includes durian treats such as Durian Penyet, Cempedak Cake and Durian Gelato.

Pro Tip

As several dishes are served on rotation, diners who are heading down for a specific item such as Kam Heong Crab, Ayam Percik or Chef’s Penang Assam Laksa may want to check with the restaurant before booking. The Dine 4 Pay 2 lunch promo is also the better-value option for groups of four adult diners.
