We all desire to get away from the pressures of our fast-paced lives. For your enjoyment, I’ve compiled some of the more noteworthy ones, ranging from those with interesting setups or special themes.

  • The Book Café

The BOOK Cafe is tucked away in the Seng Kee building on the corner of Martin and Mohamed Sultan roads. Enjoy chilling in a home away from home at this spot, which has an eclectic selection of print reads ranging from classics to magazines. If you enjoy breakfast, they provide a range of all-day meal options to keep you fueled at all hours of the day.

Address: 20 Martin Rd, 01-02 Seng Kee Building, Singapore 239070

Opening Hours: 8.30am – 8.30pm daily

  • Bricks N Cubes Café

It’s no surprise that kids enjoy this place because of the LEGO theme. Bricks N Cubes caters specifically to families, with a playpen and life-sized (for kids) LEGO figurines. The sofas and other furniture are also inspired by LEGO, with building blocks forming the sofas and other pieces. The food is reasonably priced, and it’s a great spot to take your family for a fun afternoon!

Address: 278 South Bridge Rd, Singapore 058827

Opening Hours: Sun to Thurs (9am – 9pm) | Fri to Sat (9am – 10pm)

  • Wheeler’s Yard

Whether it’s the characteristic blue door that we frequently see on our feed or the huge indoor area loaded with bicycles of various shapes and colours, everyone has seen this on their Instagram page at some point. Unlike most cafes, which are often cramped, Wheeler’s Yard has a high ceiling, making for a light and airy dining experience with a truly unique atmosphere.

Address: 28 Lor Ampas, Singapore 328781

Opening Hours: Tues to Fri (11am – 3pm , 5.30pm – 9 pm) |  Sat to Sun (10.30 am – 9pm)

  • We Are The Furballs (WTF)

If you like dogs, you should come down here! WTF is a budget-friendly pet cafe with student discounts and an admittance charge that includes unlimited play time with the dogs and a complimentary drink. You may also capture dog treats with a claw machine and have a interactively good time with the dogs.

Address: #07-07, Bugis+, 201 Victoria St, 188067

Opening Hours: Mon to Fri (1pm – 9.30pm) | Sat to Sun (12pm – 10pm)

Here are some of Singapore’s most distinctive themed cafés. Each one is quite different from the rest and would make a great place to visit on the weekends.
