I am pretty sure most of us have our favourite TV show and would not miss an episode of it when we were younger. Be it Cartoon Network, Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, there are some pretty good TV shows to watch.
Some of my favourite shows are Drake and Josh, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Victorious and my absolute favourite, iCarly. I was pretty disheartened when the last episode of iCarly aired on Nickelodeon. No more funny storylines, friendship drama, and Spencer’s funny moments.
Reboot Premier Date Announcement
The reboot was anticipated for quite a while now. Fans have been wanting a revival of the show to be able to see their favourite characters. The reboot premiere date was announced on Miranda’s 28th birthday, May 14th, 2021.
The cast of iCarly prepared a celebration of the star and included a special message inside her cake – the release date of the iCarly reboot, premiering on June 17th, 2021, on Paramount+. Similar to any other movie streaming sites, Paramount+ allows you to watch your favourite TV shows, movies and more. This new season will premier 13 episode, picking up 10 years after the final season ended.
What Will It Be About?
This new season will dive into the lives of Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress) and Spencer Shay (Jerry Trainor) in their 20s. It will also feature new characters such as Harper, played by Laci Mosley and Freddie’s stepdaughter, Millicent, played by Jaidyn Triplett.
Back when the series first premiered, we get to see the everyday problems and adventures faced by a group of school students as they took the Internet by storm with their webcast. However, in this new season, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Gibby (Noah Munck), would not be making an appearance. Nonetheless, the show must go on and I am excited for it.
New Trailer
The official trailer for the season was released on June 2nd,2021. When I first watched it, it was pretty sad because we do not get to see the full original cast. Nonetheless, I am pretty pumped for the new season. We get to see new webcast episodes, new drama, new adventures, and a whole lot of laughter.
The trailer shows snippets of the season. We get to see Carly’s relationship with her best friend, Harper, Spencer’s crazy antics and Freddie’s chaotic relationship with his mother, Mrs. Benson (Mary Scheer). Not only that, but we also get to see special appearance by the group’s arch enemy, Nevel Papperman, played by Reed Alexander.
I am super excited for the reboot – it is after all my favourite Nickelodeon TV show. Mark your calendars and do not forget to tune in to the new iCarly season on June 17th, 2021, on Paramount+!
