Since business inception, The Gym Pod has gone on to launch over 60+ different locations across Singapore making access to your own private gym must easier no matter which part of the island you are staying at.
Their next venture is much broader. Venturing into the United States, The Gym Pod has started off with 3 Pods located in the Fulton Market District of Chicago, Illinois.
Under the same flexible pay-per-use model, gym-goers in Chicago can download The Gym Pod App to book a fully private session at their own convenience. No membership fees or lengthy contracts are required to access the Pods. Each Pod operates on a 24/7 basis and is monitored by CCTV around the clock for the customer’s safety.
A win for the casuals, introverts, and “newbies”
As mentioned by Brand & Partnerships Director Peter Lam, “Given the privacy of our Pods, a lot of the customers we have in Singapore are self-identified ‘gym-troverts’ casuals, and ‘newbies.’ Plenty of folks absolutely want to stay active but just don’t feel comfortable stepping into crowded gyms. Uncomfortable situations in the gym, fear of feeling judged, or just wanting your own dedicated set of equipment are all common reasons that our community loves the Pods so much.

Having expanded with different types of pods to cater for different needs, you can now choose The Gym Pod for Strength Training. Each of these Gym Pods have a 3-station setup which typically include a cardio station, a full dumbbell rack, and a strength station. The newer Pods also have interactive screens for you to explore tutorials and virtually workout alongside fitness professionals.
The Spin Pod and Flow Pods on the other hand is dedicated to class-based fitness and features a wide variety of virtual classes. Choose from: HIIT, martial arts, dance, barre and yoga. No matter your fitness level or preference, there’s something that you can spin or flow to! These pods can host up to 2 riders at a time, giving each session an intense and “front-row” feel while catering to all difficulty levels.
Also available to book is the Rumble Pod which is their first mixed-martial arts concept that combines combat training with strength training. The Grit Pod is their latest Pod concept dedicated to functional training and dynamic movement.
