There are days where you have that sudden craving to satisfy that sweet tooth, however you are might be too lazy to travel out of your neighbourhood. Sometimes, your delivery platform might be even more expensive due to the surcharge and high delivery fees.

If so, neighbourhood bubble tea shops might just be the answer for you. They are convenient, reliable and popular. Furthermore, they don’t have a super high price tag which will not hurt your wallet and some might be even better than your well-known chain brands.

1) Fat Cat Bubble Tea

Fat Cat has established itself as one of the hot spots among those who stay within the vicinity of Tampines and students from Temasek Polytechnic. They offer boba which is catered toward students where a medium-sized cup of Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with Pearls is priced at only $2.90. One of the top favourites among Temasek Poly students is their Honeydew Sago, where the medium is priced at $2.20 and large is priced at $3.30.

2) Dessert Monster

Recently, Dessert Monster has moved to Lucky Plaza. This store has a bright and vibrant storefront which definitely makes them stand out among the crowd. You can have soy milk with the option of adding black or white pearls, which is priced at $0.50 for the topping. If you are craving some cold desserts, they offer it too! Choose either beancurd or grass jelly and top it with the topping of your choice. It can be pearls, chendol, red bean and even attap seed for the adventurous people out there.

3) Dot Sugar

Maxwell Food Centre is well known for its wide range of hawker food from Hainanese Curry Rice and Yi Jia Chao Zhou Yu Zhou. Among those stores, you can also find Dot Sugar. They offer Brown Sugar Fresh Milk which is priced at $2.90 for medium and $3.50 for large.

Having some bubble tea with your hawker food is definitely a perfect combination. They also offer the Flying City which is priced at $3.00 which is an Instagram-worthy drink that shows off a beautiful colour gradient. It has yogurt, butterfly pea and strawberry purée.

4) Itea

Established in the year of 2011, iTea has been offering its bubble tea, milk tea and juices with pearls at an affordable price. Their Yakult Green Tea, priced at $3.30 for medium-sized, is definitely one of their best sellers. This drink has a refreshing sour tang. With every sip you take, you will get the floral aroma and taste the sweetness of the jasmine green tea. Add some Red Beans toppings which are priced at $0.80 that will help to cut through the overall milkiness of the drink.
