It’s easy to feel restless and locked in a dull routine when a large number of Singaporeans are still studying and working from home. Now that Singapore’s escape rooms have flipped their signs and sanitized their rooms to welcome customers back, it’s time to put on your mask, collect your clever friends, and head out to enjoyably stimulate your brains.

  • Lockdown SG

Don’t be deceived by Lockdown’s charming bear mascot.  these puzzles aren’t to be sniffed at. These carefully crafted logic puzzles have just the right amount of hands-on interaction. You’re either a member of the Bears of Justice attempting to apprehend a bomb-planting super-villain in a nuclear facility, or you’ve been transported to a Harry Potter-inspired wizarding school to investigate the disappearance of a star Quidditch player. Another must-try is their VR Escape game, in which you are trapped in a frightening abandoned mine by a landslide. And, to add to the strain, the depletion of your oxygen supply functions as a clock for your game time instead.

Address: Orchard Gateway, 277 Orchard Road, #02-02, Singapore 238858

Opening Hours: 1.30pm-10pm daily

Price: from $22 per person (weekdays) | from $25 per person (weekends and P.H.)

  • Lost SG

At Lost SG, high-tech mechanisms and rich sound effects will enhance your puzzle-solving experience. Exodus, a game based on the biblical account of Moses in which you struggle to flee the Pharaoh’s grasp, and Aokigahara, a game based on Japan’s real-life suicide forest whose spooky vibes will leave you terrified yet exhilarated, are two of the most popular rooms here. Without too much significant spoilers, here you can expect some intriguing suggestions, such as using body heat to activate secret switches and screams to activate certain sensors.

Opening Hours: Sun to Thurs (11am-10.45pm) | Fri to Sat (11am-12.45am)

  • Xcape

With Xcape Singapore’s assortment of 10 escape rooms, each a heart-pounding mix of riddles, special effects, and hidden passageways, one session is never enough. With their Xcape Haunted lineup, horror fans can expect to face the curse of Annabelle or dead bodies from The Morgue. Then there are the rooms that bring popular movie franchises to life, such as boarding the zombie-infested Busan Express or becoming stuck on Shutter Island. For the latest hit series, you definitely have to check out Home Sweet Home.

Address: Bugis Village, 161 Rochor Road, Singapore 188436.

Opening Hours: 11am-11.30pm daily

Price: 60 Min Off-peak $22/pax | Peak $28/pax | Per Room Off-Peak $154 | Per Room Peak $196

  • The Fun Empire

The Fun Empire has taken their popular physical Escape Room experience online and created their own original Online Escape Room for players to immerse themselves in a fully immersive virtual environment with an engaging storyline. Our recommendation is to go with their “Curse of the Werewolf” theme, which is set in a little ancient village and has received a lot of praise. Werewolves lurk in the shadows, waiting to prey on unsuspecting peasants after dusk. As the Town Chief’s descendants, it’s up to you and your colleagues to break the curse and preserve your village.

Price: from $20/pax

  • The Escape Artist

As you traverse a zombie-infested land or disarm a ticking bomb in the middle of the metropolis, be prepared to employ both intellect and strength. The Escape Artist has unique aspects that set it apart from other escape rooms, such as extensive climbing and crawling in two-story themed areas and the ability to activate special powers unique to each player that can help you succeed. Teamwork is essential in order to break your way out to freedom, whether it’s summoning a useful tool, the ability to extend time, or even making a sacrifice. Check out our review of their Joo Chiat outlet!

Address: 52 Telok Blangah Road, #01-01 Telok Blangah House, Singapore 098829.

Opening Hours: Wed to Sun (1.30pm-10pm)

Price: Off-peak Rates: $22/pax (Weekdays) | Peak Rates: $28/pax (Weekends & PH)

These are some of the fun places to visit in Singapore with friends and family where you can work together to escape and bond at the same time so check them out today!
