Tessellate.Co is a local jewellery label founded by May in 2014. Just a 20-year-old back then, May gave up her university education in pursuit of her passion for gemology. She was hugely fascinated by natural gemstones during her lone travels to the mountainous regions of India and was inspired to share their beauty with the world through jewellery. From then, Tessellate.Co was birthed.
Tessellate.Co started operating as an online shop offering gemstone jewellery, with unique crystals and semi-precious stones handpicked specially by May herself. The business gradually expanded its presence through crafts shows and boutique fairs and the support from its customers grew. Finally, they manage to open up a retail store in Orchard, Singapore in 2017.
Today, it offers a wide variety of timeless jewellery staples available both online and in-store. The label also has a separate arm providing bespoke services where you can customise your desired jewellery, like an engagement ring or a wedding band.
Much like other retail businesses, the brand was hit hard by the pandemic. Nevertheless, its commitment to the value of Women Empowerment never wavered. Since its beginnings, proceeds from the sale of jewellery have been going towards supporting the education of underprivileged girls in India. In November 2021, they have also launched a charity campaign titled Reflections, and an engravable pendant. 100% of the profits from the sale of this pendant in 2021 will go towards charities.
