Takeshi-San, a cozy and casual izakaya and highball bar located in Lorong Mambong, Holland Village, has gained a strong following with its modern Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is now offering new items and flavors to tempt both new and returning customers.
Having launched a new range of over 30 delicious sides and bar snacks starting at just $5, it is available daily from 5pm when you dine in. In addition, alcoholic beverages such as beer on tap, highball, Sui Gin, Sake, and Umeshu are available for a Happy Hour deal promotion from 5-7pm, also priced at $5.
To add to the dining experience, live band performances by local talents will take place in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday. Singaporean singer and songwriter, Sam Driscoll, will serenade customers while they enjoy their meal and drinks every Thursday.
One of the restaurant’s new offerings is the Yakimono grilled delights, where customers can choose from a variety of yakitori sticks, including pork, chicken, beef, and seafood, which are available à la carte or in platters. The restaurant also offers a selection of Tsukune (chicken meatball), Tebasaki (chicken wing), Shisito (green peppers), and Shitake mushrooms for a colorful and vibrant yakitori experience.
Along with the Agenomo fried delicacies, enjoy a selection of deep fried dishes like Mozzarella sticks with spicy sauce, Spicy Katsu, Ebi Fry and Kochi Nankotsu (fried chicken soft bones) . Batter is used to coat the ingredients with a delicate crunch that adds to the overall texture.
When you take a bite, you can taste the flavors of the ingredients that have been lightly seasoned with salt, and the umami flavors of the dipping sauce, typically made with soy sauce and dashi. The combination of the crispy batter and flavorful filling creates a satisfying balance of textures and tastes.
When you visit, get their promotional Chinmi Platter ($19.90; UP $25) to nibble to your tipple with items like Kizami Wasabi or Lobster Salad. Enjoy them all in a set which comes with a serving of dipping chips. “Chinmi” refers to a variety of traditional Japanese delicacies, often served as appetizers or accompanying alcoholic drinks. These delicacies are typically made from seafood, and they are known for their bold and intense flavors.
New on the menu as a complement to the food, there is also an extensive drink choices with over 15 highball selections. With the unique flavours like Sui Gin Highball and Sui Gin Lychee, take your pick from draft or highball selections with a delectable cocktails crafted from exclusive in house recipes.
