Unveiling its new seasonal Aki Matsuri menu, Sushi Tei’s celebrates the bountiful harvests of Japan for all to enjoy while delighting your tastebuds. Starring premium and unique ingredients such as Grape Madai and Akune GOLD Wagyu, these dishes will be available from now till 13 December 2022.
From the mesmerising Kujūku Islands, Sasebo, Nagasaki, comes the Grape Madai. Boasting a vibrant red-pink colour, the fish is fed a unique diet that is rich in grape seed polyphenols. With a subtle fruity sweetness and a firm texture, it tastes great on its own with a touch of wasabi.
Available to order in different variations, you can get the Grape Madai Sashimi ($15.80), Grape Madai Sushi ($6.80) and Grape Madai Carpaccio ($18.80) for a special treat of this fish. If you prefer an assortment to share with friends, the Grape Madai is also showcased in the Sashimi Moriawase Kujūku (M, $32.80), served alongside salmon, raw scallop and salmon roe.
Next, behold the juiciness and gorgeous marbling of the Akune GOLD Wagyu, which is owed to the cattle’s nourishing staple of pasture grass, rice straw and grains. Pan-fried to a gorgeous crust, the Akune GOLD Wagyu Saikoro Steak ($38.80) is accompanied with a special sauce made inhouse, and ceremoniously topped with ikura.
Other must-try highlights include the Aji Shochu Shikomi ($17.80) which presents a grilled Japanese horse mackerel that is served with an invigorating ponzu sauce. Without a hint of fishiness, the meat of the fish is plump and tender and goes well with the tanginess of the lemon on the side.
For a selection of appetizers and sides, the Crispy Unagi Shiitake ($10.80) is topped with yuzu mayonnaise for a refreshing kick that cuts through the grease. This is a dish best eaten straight when it is served for a crunchy exterior with a meaty mouthfeel.
Finally, load up on carbo with the Chasyu Fried Rice ($12.80). The rice grains are fried with garlic, which imbues a fragrance, and then tossed with chunks of juicy roast pork.
Wash all the food down with Kuro Goma Azuki Latte ($5.80), an aromatic blend of black sesame milk with red bean or cap off the session with the refreshing Peach Sherbet ($7.80) that comes served in a frozen half peach that can be eaten too!
With much to offer, Sushi Tei’s Aki Matsuri menu is available from now till 13 December 2022 so make a visit to an outlet near you to discover their latest seasonal delights.
