Here are some of the dishes that will be available:
The Yu Sheng with Salmon and Baby Abalone comes with freshly grated duo-colored carrots and luscious baby abalones that were really tender and great on its own. The components are infused with a zesty touch when mixed from the handmade citrus sauce and is a great start as an appetizer.
With the Traditional Steamed Rice with Chinese Sausage and Braised Mushroom, this nostalgic recipe will appeal to both the young and the old. A significant amount of sliced premium Chinese sausage, chestnut, and braised thick shiitake mushroom are served with al dente grains of fragrant jasmine steamed rice. This dish had a lot of flavour almost giving it a clay pot chicken vibe and that’s a good thing for those who love a rendition of it.
The Double-boiled Golden Mushroom Soup with Dried Scallop, it’s cooked using a technique where all the quality ingredients are boiled at a slower and gentle pace for many hours. This gives the soup a great umami taste where the flavours of the golden mushroom is fully extracted.
When one dines at the Soup Restaurant, one should never forget to order the classic Samsui Ginger Chicken. A traditional Dish that was consumed by Samsui women in Chinatown in the past, the chicken is steamed without much spice and then dipped in ginger sauce.
Complemented by a fragrant and flavorful ginger sauce, the Chinese believe that ginger and sesame oil remove excess wind from the body. When you bite into the popular Samsui Ginger Chicken, you can wrap the succulent chicken with the accompanying lettuce to get that crunch and texture.
Parents would agree that a meal isn’t complete with some vegetables and this dish does not disappoint. The Asparagus with Assorted Mushrooms in White Truffle Oil comes with an assortment of mushroom along with peas, black fungus and red peppers that add a splash of colour to this simple dish. The vegetables are then elevated with a touch of white truffle oil for aroma and fragrance in each bite.
As a special add on, the Wellness Collagen Treasure Pot with Abalone (from $308) is a mouthwatering collagen-rich pumpkin broth with a variety of sumptuous ingredients. Slowly cooked for four hours and lightly seasoned with herbs, there is a good balance of flavours that delivers a savoury punch. This exquisite dish is nourishing and great for boosting body constitution as well!
