Local brand Shake Shake In A Tub has expanded from just kiosk outlets to open their first-ever flagship cafe at 111 Somerset! This sit-down affair sees Shake Shake In A Tub’s regular menu of finger foods expanded to include dishes like cheese fondue and fried chicken sets.
Say Cheese! Fondue
This picture-worthy fondue will give you cheese pulls for days. The Say Cheese! Fondue ($21.90) lets you dip shoestring fries and popcorn chicken into a medley of cheese that’s swirled together with a dash of lemon juice.
When we tried the fondue, it was perfectly melty thanks to the candle that keeps the pot warm. The cheese was super gooey and stretchy, making a fun and aesthetic dish for the table! If you’re thinking of ordering the fondue, this serving is perfect for a table of two to four.
Fries-Go-Round Set
Try an all-star assortment of Shake Shake In A Tub’s signature finger foods with the Fries-Go-Round Set ($15.90). With shoestring fries, curly fries, criss-cut fries, pom poms (tater tots) and onion rings and 8 exciting flavours to choose from, you can choose a new exciting combo with every visit!
Our favourite side was the onion rings, which we had coated with the BBQ flavour. It was perfectly fried to a golden brown and the BBQ flavour wasn’t too overpowering, instead complementing the onion rings perfectly to give it that classic addictive salty and umami flavour.
“DAEBAK” Korean Fried Chicken Set
The Korean Fried Chicken Set ($21.90) comes with spicy korean fried chicken, seaweed fries, corn dogs and a small side dish of kimchi. The wings pack a decent level of heat and are deliciously flavoured, and the corndogs are filled with gooey cheese.
Triple Truffle Fried Chicken Set
The Triple Truffle Fried Chicken Set ($19.90) comes with fried chicken, truffle fries, onion rings and a small side dish of coleslaw. There’s also Shake Shake’s popular truffle sauce on the side for you to dip into! This was our favourite fried chicken set, and the truffle flavour went perfectly with the sweet and salty soy-garlic flavour coating on the chicken.
