Scenic Spots to Cycle At In Singapore

Love cycling? Cycle at these recommended spots for an enjoyable time!

Cycling in Singapore is good for several reasons. It is a healthy and environmentally-friendly mode of transportation that can reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. Additionally, Singapore has invested in cycling infrastructure, making it safe and convenient for cyclists to get around the city. Cycling is also an affordable way to travel, and it can be a fun and enjoyable way to explore the city and its many parks and attractions.

East Coast Park

East Coast Park is a well-known spot for cycling, with a dedicated cycling path that runs the length of the park. The path is flat and relatively easy, making it suitable for beginner cyclists as well.

East Coast Park’s cycling path stretches over 15 kilometers, offering a long and uninterrupted ride for cycling enthusiasts.

The park is located along the coast where it offers beautiful views of the sea and the horizon.

After cycling, there are many recreational activities you can do like rollerblading, jogging, and fishing. There are also sports facilities, such as beach volleyball and soccer.

East Coast Park has public restrooms, bicycle rental shops, and food and beverage outlets and several pit stops with rest areas, water coolers, and vending machines.

East Coast Park is easily accessible by public transport and car and a short walk from the Bedok and Tanah Merah MRT stations.

Marina Bay

Marina Bay is another great spot for cycling. The path is relatively short, perfect for those who are looking for a more relaxing cycle.

Marina Bay offers stunning views of the waterfront and the city skyline across the route that takes you along the Marina Bay Promenade and past landmarks such as the Merlion and the Marina Bay Sands.

There are dedicated cycling paths, separated from pedestrian paths, making it easier to cycle without interruption.

Along Marina Bay are the Helix Bridge and the ArtScience Museum, which provide great photo opportunities and breaks from cycling.

The area has public restrooms, water coolers, and bike rental shops and food and beverage outlets available at the nearby Marina Bay Sands and Esplanade.

Marina Bay is just a short walk from the Marina Bay and Promenade MRT stations.

Pulau Ubin

If you’re adventurous and am looking for a more challenging cycling experience, head to Pulau Ubin, a small island off the coast of Singapore.

Pulau Ubin is home to a myriad of flora and fauna, including mangroves, orchids, and birds. It is a quiet and peaceful island, making it a great escape from the city.

Along the cycling routes you will be able to see the island’s forests, beaches, and traditional villages. You will also be able to spot a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, wild boars, and monitor lizards. 

Pulau Ubin is easily accessible by ferry from Changi Point Ferry Terminal.

Bikes can be rented on the island.

Punggol Waterway Park

Punggol Waterway Park is a scenic park with several cycling paths that offer views of the park’s waterways and beautiful greenery, an ideal spot for a leisure bike ride.

The park has a well-paved cycling path that runs along the waterway, offering cyclists an enjoyable and picturesque ride. The park is connected to several other cycling routes like Coney Island, perfect for those looking for a longer cycling trip.

Punggol Waterway Park is a family-friendly park, with many playgrounds, water play areas, and family-friendly activities, where families can spend a day out together.

The park is easily accessible by public transport, with several bus stops nearby.

There are bike rental kiosks in the park.
