Head down to these new gelato cafes and indulge in their range of delectable gelato flavours.
What are some your favourite sweet treats? I have to say mine would probably be sweet, creamy ice-cream. I am a huge fan of classic flavours such as strawberries and cream, mint chocolate chip and good old vanilla.
However, there have been many new gelato cafes that have recently opened in Singapore. Though I have yet to enjoy some of their ice-cream flavours, I am sure these flavours are one-of-a-kind and most important, delicious! Let’s look at five new gelato cafes in Singapore.
Inside Scoop
This gelato café was brought over to Singapore from Malaysia. Its first outlet opened in Bangsar in 2013. Their ice cream flavours are made with fresh and high-quality ingredients.
Just last March, Inside Scoop opened its first outlet here in Singapore. Similar to their outlets in Malaysia, the interior is painted yellow with several sights of greenery. Furthermore, a few #OOTD can be found in the premises such as a circular swing, mirrors and florescent tubes, making a great backdrop.
Inside Scoop in Singapore offers 16 of its flavours, similar to the ones in Malaysia. You can get them as individual scoops or choose between two of their waffle flavours – Signature Buttermilk and Charcoal, to be paired with your choice of ice cream flavour.
They also offer premium flavours such as Mao Shan Wang, Sicilian Pistachio, Oreo Nutella Cheesecake, Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake and more.

Operating hours:
Sunday to Thursday: 12.30pm – 10.30pm

Burnt Cones
Burnt Cones is a new addition to Sunset Way, alongside other gelato cafes such as Dawn’s Gelateria and Hundred Acre Creamery. This 24-seater cafe is decorated with white walls, gives of minimalist vibes with its industrial cemented theme. It is also brightly lighted and spacious.
Offering a total of 12 ice cream flavours, four of these flavours are classics and the other eight are premium flavours. Apart from that, Burnt Cones also offer a small menu for their drinks such as tea and coffee.
Their four classic flavours include: Black Sesame, For De Latte (milk), Earl Grey and Butterscotch. Premium flavours include: Dark Chocolate, Bacio (Hazelnut Chocolate), Pistachio and more. Also, don’t miss out on their refreshing sorbet flavours – Mango Passion and Strawberry Basil. You can choose also between single/double scoops, cones or their waffles.

Hundred Acre Creamery
Another gelato café also located at Sunset Way is Hundred Acre Creamery. Inspired by a fictional place in the book “Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne”, it takes us to the adventures Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh and his friends went to learn about companionship and love.
Similarly, the owners of Hundred Acre Creamery love to share this through their favourite treats – ice cream and desserts. They are inspired by the meaningful experience and joyful moments and wish to recreate and realise flavour they enjoy.
This café offers 14 ice cream flavours which include unique flavours such as Peach Basil, Lilac Taro and Ocean Blue (Nori with white chocolate). Furthermore, they also offer desserts. One of which is called Dalat, named after a highland in Vietnam.
It is made with butter avocados imported from Dalat, topped with a scoop of coconut sorbet, toasted shredded coconut and roasted peanuts – so delectable!

Hay Gelato
Ever had hay in your ice cream? Well, here at Hay Gelato, you get to try this interesting combination of flavours.
Hay Gelato was by the team behind Brine Restaurant at North Bridge Road. This 18-seater space is coloured in grey, with pink patterned walls, making it a nice background for pictures. They offer 12 interesting flavours such as Balsamic Strawberry, Truffle, Meyer Lemon, Yuzu Ginger and their most interesting flavour, Smoked Hay.
This interesting ice cream flavour was made from smoking hay (dried plats and grass), and infused into a milk-base gelato, topped off with cacao nibs – it is pretty weird but really interesting. Who would have though hay and gelato would work?
Other than gelato, Hay Gelato also offers two plated desserts served over at Brine Restaurant. One of which is the Smoked Hay Gelato, another is Laksa Leaf Cream with Coconut Gelato and Kaffir Lime Meringue. It is also topped with shrimp floss – almost like Laksa but dessert form.
Hay Gelato is sure to have their customers trying new and interesting flavours all the time!
