If you don’t live in the east, you probably only go to Paya Lebar for the Geylang Serai Bazaar during Hari Raya once in a while. The region has quickly become a popular hangout destination, with a plethora of unusual and fun things to do, especially in recent years.

Smigy Indoor Playground is located on the third floor of the PLQ Mall. It’s not your typical indoor playground; instead, it’s a dreamlike space with light pastel colors where kids can run about and have fun.

From $35 for one kid and one adult for 2 hours play, it has a foam pit, trampolines, slides, swings, climbing platforms, and even a racing car track, in addition to its beautiful interior that serves as the perfect backdrop for you to record memories with your child.

Address: 10 Paya Lebar Road, #03-05/06 PLQ Mall, Singapore 409057

Opening Hours: Mon to Thu (10am – 8pm) | Fri to Sun (10am – 9pm)

Eat Pizza is a new kid on the block just outside PLQ Mall and is known for made-from-scratch pizzas that are ready for consumption in just 5 minutes. Hailing from South Korea, their pizzas are created to be grab-and-go and easy to eat with one hand with its long rectangular shape and a length of 25cm – which is about equivalent to 2 standard size pizzas. Try unique flavours like their Sweet Potato Pizza ($6.50) or the Singapore exclusive Kimchi Bulgogi Pizza ($9.90) when you visit.

Address: PLQ Mall #01-K5, 10 Paya Lebar Road, Paya Lebar Quarter, Singapore 409057

Opening Hours: 11am – 11pm daily

Art jamming is a terrific way to let free and engage your creative side, whether you’re searching for a fresh date idea to spend quality time with bae or just need a calming break from the daily grind. Our Art Studio in PLQ Mall not only offers acrylic painting, but also offers clay making, Chinese ink painting and more. Customized workshops or classes for people of all ages are also available so do check them out!

Address: 10 Paya Lebar Rd, PLQ, Paya Lebar Quarter, #04-20, 409057

Opening Hours:  Mon to Fri (11am – 8.30pm) | Sat & Sun (10am – 8.30pm)

Wisma Geylang Serai, a homage to the Malay colony in Old Singapore, is a sight to behold, with its double-pitched roof à la traditional Malay kampungs and designs and spaces that reflect the serai plant, ketupat, and serambi on stilts.

The community civic and cultural facility, which celebrates the ‘kampung spirit,’ draws families and friends together through cultural activities such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. It also houses the Geylang Serai Community Club, which has badminton courts where you may play a casual game with your friends.

Address: 1 Engku Aman Turn, Singapore 408528
