Old Seng Choong New Bake-Off Concepts At Paragon & Changi Airport T2

Old Seng Choong, a homegrown confectionary brand has unveiled its new Bake-Off Concept stores offering a delightful selection of freshly baked goods daily at Paragon (#𝐁𝟏-𝟏𝟒) and Changi Airport T2 (#𝟎𝟐-𝟏𝟕𝟓/𝟏𝟕𝟔).

Showcasing over 15 traditional pastries, each reimagined with a modern twist, evoke a sense of the delectable traditional treats savoured by generations when you visit.

Old Seng Choong Pastries

The Chinese characters 酥 (sū) and 挞 (tà), which translate to pastries and tarts, evoke a sense of the delectable traditional treats savoured by generations.

The Bake-Off Concept stores thus pride themselves on preserving the signature flaky and crisp texture of these pastries.

As customers step into the store, they are greeted by the heavenly aroma of pastries baking in the oven, enveloping the surroundings. Look forward to unique creations like:

  • Premium Bird’s Nest with Red Date ($4.50) – Buttery pastry skin with red date paste and bird nest centre.
  • Sweet Potato Mochi ($3.90) – Hearty sweet potato with a satisfying chewiness of mochi encased in buttery, flaky pastry.
  • Crème Brulee Tart ($3.90) – Creamy vanilla custard topped with a thin layer of caramelised sugar.
  • Charcoal Egg Tart ($3.90) – Buttery notes of charcoal pastry paired with luscious, silky egg custard.
  • Truffle Char Siew ($4.50) – Traditional savoury and sweet pork flavours from the Char Siew, with aromatic umami truffle. [MSGT Recommended!]

  • Matcha Azuki Bean ($3.90) – Mellow bittersweet or earthy matcha with sweet azuki beans.
  • Bak Kwa with Red Lotus pastry ($4.50) – Flaky red bean skin with creamy lotus paste filling and hints of smoky Bak Kwa bits.
  • Royal Sweet Potato with Mochi & Ginger ($3.90) – Flaky buttery pastry skin with purple sweet potato filling and a chewy mochi centre.
  • Classic Yam with Iberico Ham ($4.50) – The richness of yam paste swirled with Iberico ham and shallot bits for a touch of umami. [MSGT Recommended!]
  • Black Sesame with Mochi ($3.90) – A bold and nutty pastry with a slight bittersweet undertone complemented with a chewy mochi centre.

Other varieties include Black Bean Salted Egg Yolk ($4.50), Black Truffle Salted Yolk ($4.50), Parma Ham with Shallot Oil ($4.50), Traditional Lao Po Bing ($2.90), Taiwanese Mung Bean pastry ($4.50) that is filled with savoury braised meat alongside many other unique creations!
