I am pretty sure many would definitely have heard of some patisseries and boulangeries here in Singapore. These are similar to bakeries and cafes out there offering ‘coffee-break’ snacks like pastries and cakes.
In the midst of their soft launch currently, Nuage Patisserie and Boulangerie will be officially opening their door to the public on July 31st, 2021 with their outlet located along Kampong Bahru Road. The café was the brainchild of three individuals, offering a wide range of delicious food items for their customers.
Nuage Patisserie and Boulangerie
The name of their café, nuage, comes from the French translation of the word ‘cloud’. Just like how clouds take on different forms with every passing time, the people behind Nuage Patisserie and Boulangerie aspire to be versatile and free in their own creations.
The café offers both classic and novelty food items, hoping that their customers will get to find their favourite from their café.
Menu
The café has a wide selection of menu items from bread and desserts to beverages. Let’s take a look at some of the food items they have to offer.
Bread and Viennoiserie
One of the most common things that we would see when entering a café or bakery would definitely be bread and pastries. At this cafe, you can expect both sweet and savoury baked goods.
Some of their sweet baked goods include Pain au Chocolate ($4.50), Almond Croissant ($5.50), Apple Turnover ($6.90) and Almond Chocolate Escargot ($5.90.) If you love savoury baked goods, try some of their recommendations such as their Ham and Cheese Croissant ($6.90), Garlic Cheese Focaccia ($5.80) and Brioche Feuillettee ($6.50).
Desserts
Apart from bread, there are other items such as cakes and desserts. One of their desserts that I find is pretty unique is their Strawberry Popcorn ($9.80). It is made of vanilla sponge, fresh strawberry and strawberry compote, with a crumble base and topped with chocolate coated popcorn.
Other desserts include the Exotic Coco Tart ($9.80), Pistachio Strawberry Tart ($9.20) and Brown Sugar Boba Swissroll ($9.60).
Beverages
Wash it down with some of the beverages offered at the café. Need a little caffeine? Select from their range of Espresso based beverages such as Long Black ($3.20), Latte ($3.90) and Mocha ($4.50). If you are not a huge fan of coffee, opt for their non-caffeine drinks such as French Chocolate ($5.00) and Matcha Latte ($5.00).
You can also try their tea ($6.50) in three flavours, French Earl Grey, Jasmine and Vanilla Bourbon. There are also cold beverages like Iced Matcha Latte ($6.00), Iced Yuzu Matcha Latte ($6.50), Iced French Chocolate ($6.00) and cold brewed tea ($6.00).
