New Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice Sets From MONGA Singapore

Monga Singapore’s new Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice Sets will take you back to the hustle and bustle of Taiwan! The stars are still their crispy and delicious chicken but they can now come with an onsen egg, crunchy lettuce, house made preserved vegetables, and pork belly with the proper ratio of fatty to lean meat atop a bed of Japanese short grained rice.

The preserved veggies are a Monga chef’s secret recipe, enhanced with generous amounts of minced garlic and lard oil for the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and salty to help cut through the pork belly’s fattiness. With each bite giving you a taste of home and love, this is a comforting meal to eat anytime with many options to choose from:

For those who like bone in chicken with that extra flavour to gnaw on, the Chicken Wings Set ($15.50) is a great option with well marinated wings that gives off the iconic taste of the Salt & Pepper Chicken that one can get on the streets of Taiwan. The set comes with 3pcs of Monga Chicen Wings, a bowl of comforting egg drop soup and the main companion, a bowl of Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice.

The set meal also comes with a choice of soft drink or you can opt to top up an extra $1.90 to try your hands on Monga Singapore’s Fruity Tea Series new additions! Choose from the Roselle Tea with Rainbow Jelly or the Lime Tea with Rainbow Jelly that will act as great palate cleansers and will please sour drink lovers. Come March 2022, a new item will be added to Monga’s latest menu. A play on East meets West, the same tender and juicy pork belly will be paired with silky smooth mashed potatoes made from German potatoes. Steamed with precision then mixed with milk, cream and a blend of inhouse spices, this earthy mash is a wonderful accompaniment to the braised pork and should not be missed! The Taiwanese Braised Pork with Mashed Potatoes will be available ala carte at $5.90 from 1^st March onwards.

Furthermore, Monga will be introducing 2 new snack dips – Mentaiko Mayo and Wasabi Mayo that will be here to stay! Pairing perfectly with their chicken, the dips are the perfect balance of savory, tangy, sweet and spicy that will keep you reaching for more. Add the Monga Crispy Nuggets and Dips box ($6.50 ala carte, $9.90 with fries and a soft drink) as a side to your Braised Pork Rice for the ultimate Monga experience!
