Koshihikari Rice is a variety of short-grain rice that originates from Japan. This same type of rice is what we all know to be “sushi rice”, as it is the most popular rice to make sushi in Japan. The rice, besides containing many other nutrients, is also high in vitamin E, a natural antioxidant.

By having this rice blended into an onsen bath, its helps prevent the rapid aging of the skin caused by the sun’s harmful UV rays. Also, the Koshihikari Rice Bath also helps to nourish and protect your skin, giving you skin with more bounce and youthfulness. The rice bath is kept at temperatures between 38-39.5 degrees, providing the optimal temperature for your muscles and body to relax.

Other Onsen Baths Facilities

  • Hot Bath: with mineral water temperature of about 40-43 degrees, it relaxes your mind and muscles
  • Bubble-bath: inspired by the hot spring regions in Thailand and Japan, the bath is filled with mineral infused water that is set to an inviting and warm temperature
  • Soda Bath: first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the carbon dioxide rich water increases blood oxygen levels, improves blood circulation, and improves skin elasticity
  • Silk Bath: filled with tiny bubbles, the bath provides the water with a silky feel that aids buoyancy in the water, to stimulate and relax those muscles
  • Cold Bath: kept at 17-19 degrees, it contrasts the hot water baths, providing a refreshing experience, that has aesthetic anti-aging benefits, closes your pores, and tightens the skin
