The MCU is constantly growing, and so is my love for their movies and TV series such as WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. MCU is full of superheroes and are always action-packed. But sometimes, liking a villain is not wrong either.
New TV Series on Disney+
I am pretty sure everyone recognises the recurring villain in the MCU, the master of all tricks, Loki (also known as Thor’s brother). I fell in love with Loki the first time he made an appearance in Thor (2011). Honestly, I thought I was through with him, but he kept appearing in other movies.
Now, we are in for another treat as Loki the Series will be premiering very soon on Disney+. Played by the ever talented, Tom Hiddleston, I learnt that Loki was not actually as bad as he seems. I mean, he is the God of Mischief, I am sure he has many tricks up his sleeve. But there is definitely a good side to him.
The trailer was released on April 5th, 2021 and the first episode will be premiered on June 9th, 2021 on Disney+ with each episode being released on Wednesdays. I am excited for this series as I believe we will get to know more about him.
Marvel Loki Trailer
As many of us know, Loki’s life ended in the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War – I was devastated. However, in this new series, Loki will be led back to the past when he was escaping from custody in the first Avengers movie.
As the trailer progresses, we could see that he was actually imprisoned by an organisation called the Time Variance Authority. He then went to several dimensions through time and of course, fight scenes.
The Cast
The series will introduce several new characters. I am super excited to see new faces in the MCU, be it TV series or movies. The cast include:
- Tom Hiddleston as Loki
- Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius
- Gugu-Mbatha Raw as Juge Ravonna Renslayer
- Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15
Other cast members include Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, Erika Coleman and Eugene Cordero.
Overall Thoughts
I am a huge Marvel fan and I am more that excited for this series. Just by watching the trailer, I can already tell that I am going to love the series. Loki has been such a great character in the MCU, and I have always wanted to see more of him. Now, I have the chance to!
