Introducing an all new five-course plant-based menu, Little Farms and Country Foods is committed to offering its customers delicious food that will tickle your tastebuds. With stunning meals that are good for everyone and also good for the Earth, this specially curated menu shines the spotlight on the plant-based ingredients of three brands that Country Foods distributes: Fable, HAPPIEE!™️ and v2.
Little Farms and Country Foods are committed to doing their part for the environment and championing sustainability. By coming up with this menu, they hope to inspire more gourmands to discover and develop a taste for plant-based meat options.
Making a perfect start to the five-course meal is the Fable Slider Smash & Olive Oil Bruschetta. Made from real shiitake mushrooms Fable’s plant-based products are delicious, nutritious and have an incredible mouthfeel.
With a texture similar to pulled pork meat, the pairing of pickled onions, truss tomatos adds a earthy, sweet and sour flavours with a little added heat from the spiced aioli on the side.
The second course consists of the v2 Smoky Pork & Spinach Crepe Alfredo. Using a different source of plant-based ingredients and hailing from Australia, v2 creates alternative meat products using proteins extracted from legumes.
Here, the plant-based smoky pork and spinach are wrapped in a thin crepe, then topped with a white sauce. Albeit a little softer in terms of overall texture, the tartness of the fresh tomatoes balances out the dish well and adds a depth of flavour.
Up next, HAPPIEE!™️, a homegrown brand by Growthwell Foods, offers a range of plant-based nutritious bites for everyday consumers with a range of soy-based chicken products and a seafood line made from konjac.
Aptly known as the HAPPIEE!™️ Squidiee, konjac squid is battered, deep-fried and paired with a vegan sriracha mayo, which packs a spicy kick. Topped with aromatic sesame coriander dukkah that contains a mix of nuts, seeds, and warm spices, the crunch and textures that interplay here will have you polishing off the plate in no time.
The indulgence continues with the Burgundy Braised Fable Ragout. Cooked for 5 hours, the ragout has the same texture as pulled pork, and is doused in a piquant truffle jus. A heap of pomme puree (mashed potatoes) sits beside the ragout that is a savoury delight that completes the dish.
Finally, finish your meal with an extra indulgent and savoury sweet Chocolate Avocado Mousse. Served with an assortment of fresh fruits, chocolate soil, strawberry crisps and a miso caramel sauce.
The five-course plant-based menu is priced at $48++/person and you can choose to add on a Tepache Twist Cocktail for $15++ to your meal for an alcoholic twist.
