Le Matin, or “the morning” in French, is a French-inspired patisserie with an ever-evolving menu of unique pastries founded by Chef Mohamed Al-Matin. Located at ION Orchard (#B2-49), visit their brand-new concept café, serving up signature French delights for brunch and dessert alongside sweet and savoury pastries available for dine-in and takeaway.
After 2 years as Pastry Sous Chef of Noma, Chef Matin now shares his passion for fine dining and patisserie with his team of passionate bakers and has expanded their culinary know-how to savoury pastries and hot mains, all in their pursuit of serving up the complete French dining experience.

The new Le Matin Patisserie will serve its famed pastries all day for dine-in and takeaway, while brunch and desserts are available for dine-in only from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am-3pm for brunch and 6pm-10pm for desserts.
All-Day Cakes and Pastries
Back by popular demand, Le Matin’s Almond Croissant ($7.50) is filled with roasted almonds in a bed of vanilla cream and topped with more crunchy slivered almonds while the Kouign Amann ($7.50), is Chef Matin’s signature bake of flaky pastry layered generously with butter, caramelized sugar, vanilla and hints of molasses.
Other sweet pastries include the Pistachio & Rose Escargot ($8) that holds nutty pistachio custard and rose-scented cranberries, finished off with a topping of chopped pistachio and dried rose petals or try the Smoked Cruffin ($10) filled with applewood smoked vanilla custard and topped with charred eucalyptus meringue.
For a savoury touch, the Escargot Escargot ($13) contains delicious French escargot stuffing inside, further fragranced with mushroom ricotta curd or try the Wagyu & Bone Marrow Sausage Roll ($16) that comes with smoked bone marrow and minced wagyu wrapped in puff pastry, brown butter, walnuts and black garlic glaze.
New petit gateau, the quintessential French little cakes, are available as well. The Sake Lees & Macadamia, Choux Bun ($14) is nestled atop a macadamia yuzu crunch base filled with a decadent Sake Lees mousse and complete with a macadamia praline centre. The Mont Blanc ($14) on the other hand brings chestnut sponge layered with Chantilly, mousseline and candied chestnuts.
Other special creations include the Roasted Hay & Pecan Tart ($9), Kombu Tart ($9) and Korean White Peach ($16), alongside delicious eclairs and other cakes for a wider variety of options.
Wednesday – Sunday Brunch (11am to 3pm)
Get your mornings off to a good start the French way with brunch items with a side of house salad such as the Wagyu Brioche Feuilletée ($45) with a prized marbled wagyu ribeye of MBS5+, cooked to tender bites in smoked duck fat, sweetened with onion marmalade and fragranced with brown butter leek, crispy shiso fritters, yuzu salt and black garlic aioli.
A taste of Vietnamese comes in the Smoked Beef Cheek Bahn Mi ($19) of smoked wagyu beef cheeks, pickled carrots, daikon, black garlic and chimichurri or opt for the Black Truffle Scrambled Eggs Croissant ($36) presenting a round croissant of a burger stacked with black truffle aioli and truffle paste, fluffy and buttery scrambled eggs with 8g of sliced black truffles.
Other hot mains include the Chutoro Brioche Feuilletée ($38) and the Seafood Pot Pie ($25) for seafood alternatives for those who don’t take beef.
Wednesday – Sunday Desserts (6pm to 10pm)
Wrap up your meal on a sweet and savoury note with the Fromage de vos Reves ($21), a medley of sweets with all-cheese bases including rillat savarin mousse, reblochon creameux and comte sponge, touched up with milk crumble glaze and served with a side of creme fraiche ice cream.
A nuttier taste comes with the Tarte Aux Noix de Cajou ($20) made of fragrant cashew custard, cashew nougatine and filo pastry, topped off with orange blossom scented mulberries and Pedro Ximenez cream.
