In collaboration with Soup Restaurant, Japan Rice and Rice Industry Export Promotion Association (JRE) will be launching their JRE Set with two new rice-based offerings alongside crowd favourite dishes for customers to enjoy.
Available in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10pax sets at $40++/pax, this special collaboration will be exclusively available at Soup Restaurant Suntec City from now till 11 November 2022.
Made with authentic and premium Japanese pearl rice that JRE is bringing in from Aomori Prefecture, Japan, the Aomori Masshigura rice variety is known to be light both in aroma and sweetness. With a firm and not very sticky texture, the rice complements soups and curries well.
First up is the appetiser, the Crispy Rice Cracker with Assorted Nuts. With a mixture of pumpkin seeds, almond flakes and popped Japanese rice, they are bind together with some malt that is not too sweet and whets your appetite for the next few dishes that will be served.
Alongside the popular Signature Samsui Ginger Chicken, the Pine Nuts Pearl Rice with Sakura Prawns is tossed with Soup Restaurant’s signature samsui ginger sauce, and topped with crispy Sakura prawns and lightly toasted pine nuts for added texture. With a light ginger fragrance in each bite, pair it with the Tofu Prawns with Fried Mantou’s gravy for more depth of flavour.
Other dishes available include Traditional Boiled Soup of the Day, Homemade Tofu with Crispy Shrimp and Diced Thick Mushroom with Beancurd Skin & Broccoli for a well-balanced meal.
