It has been a while since I attended a dance class, be it on campus or outside. I miss the vibe that everyone lets out during physical dance classes. It hypes me up and give me confidence when it is my time to showcase the dance routine.
Due to the pandemic, limited number of people can be in one dance studio. This also means that there are lesser booking slots available. As a member of my dance family, Style Groovaz Crew, my fellow dance members and I are often invited back to the studio for any classes. However, classes have shifted online via Zoom.
Despite that, my love for dance will continue to grow and I am always willing to improve as a dancer. Thus, I am looking for online dance classes to involve myself in. Let’s look at some of the online dance classes available!

Learn from Your Favourite Choreographers on YouTube
The easiest way to learn a choreography is by searching it on YouTube. As we all know, YouTube is a free video streaming platform. Thus, dance tutorial videos can easily be found. You can learn from dancer and choreographers such as Matt Steffanina, Kyle Hanagami, and Miles Keeney.
This is actually of my favourite ways to learn a choreography. I can pause, rewind and reduce the speed of the video. This has definitely made it easier for me to see how the steps are done and understand which muscles I am supposed to engage when learning the choreography.
The pandemic has definitely stopped us from doing some of our favourite things. However, the internet is one of the most helpful platforms for us to keep ourselves engaged in physical activities. With the help of online telecommunication platforms such as Zoom, anything is possible.
Share these with your friends and learn a new choreography together. If you are new to dance, even better. Use this time to adopt a new hobby or just have a little fun!
