The 6 Treasures Fruits YuSheng features an exciting array of fresh fruits which includes Pomelo, Pear , Guava, Mango , Pineapple, and Jackfruit. Vibrant and colourful, this online-exclusive, take-away YuSheng is great for vegetarians and those who are more health conscious. The jackfruit stands out in particular as it is the strongest tasting fruit among the six. Do note that this is an entirely vegetarian dish therefore salmon sashimi is not included !
This one-of-a-kind Japanese Treasure Pot ($218) aka Pen Cai, features premium ingredients including whole abalone, sashimi-grade scallops from Hokkaido, snow crab leg meat, prawn, and more in superior stock boiled for hours.
House-made Japanese chashu, homemade chicken roulade with cabbage and spinach, kamaboko fish cake and shiitake mushroom round out the bountiful ingredients. There are even gold leaves which add a touch of sophistication.
You would find the stock quite different from the typical Chinese-style offering, with a lighter flavour and consistency, and thus not so rich and heavy. The superior stock is boiled for hours using fresh ingredients, which you would find extra that would be best to pour over some fluffy rice for more comfort.
Topped with gold flecks to reflect richness and abundance, this dish is tailor-made for seafood lovers, and will be a show-stopper at any CNY meal at home.
The Arima Sansho Pork Knuckle $68 is a dish of braised pork knuckle made with the pork front hock, also known as the shank. The pork shank is blanched, seared, and braised for several hours in soy sauce, wine, and spices. The flavourful sauce is then reduced into a gravy and poured over the finished dish.
Enjoy the prosperity duck this coming new year with the Yuzu Duck with Japanese Chestnut Stuffing ($108) that comes with a citrusy sauce and Yuzu strips that complement the duck well. Served with an assortment of earthy vegetables with its beautifully curated cut outs, this is a special dish that is worth trying with the family.
The succulent Abalone Stuffed Roast Chicken $88 is marinated with a glistening glaze and roasted to tender crisp perfection. Along with the abalone which goes well with the tenderness of the chicken. The broccoli and pumpkin was a good complement with the dish.
Overall, the price point was quite steep however, the quality was not compromised therefore making it extra worth it. The servings was definitely generous and the service was prompt therefore making it an enjoyable time at Ichiban Boshi.
