For someone who recently visited Hong Kong we were delighted to find a wide variety of charming food spots, each with its unique ambiance and offerings. Here are a few notable spots that stood out that we think you should add to your itinerary the next time you visit this bustling city:
-
HeSheEat
Having spotted this cafe on Xiao Hong Shu, HeSheEat mainly sells Western desserts, which are amazing, but their mains are also surprisingly good. Here are some of the standout dishes:
- Chicken Linguine with Tom Yum Cream Sauce: Strong, flavorful taste with tender chicken.
- Matcha Latte: Authentic and rich in flavour.
- Matcha Ice Cream Latte Parfait: Includes mochi, ice cream, and cereal—delightfully balanced.
Address: G/F, 98 Fa Yuen St, Mong Kok, Hong Kong
-
Crazy Noodles 瘋狂小面
This is a rather hidden restaurant in the central area that specializes in Sichuan noodles. Things we recommend you try there includes:
- Crazy Beef Noodles: Thick and savoury broth, with a unique taste different from the usual beef noodles. The meat is very tender.
- Crazy Dan Dan Noodles: Delicious sauce on the noodles, making it quite tasty despite being a dry noodle dish.
- Skewers in Mala Tang: A variety of skewers, including mushroom, meat, and others, all soaked in their flavourful mala tang broth.
Address: Hong Kong, Central, Stanley St, 66-72号, Kai Tak Commercial Building, 1/f
-
Aqua Luna Victoria Harbour Cruise
Yes, this is a cruise, not just a restaurant. The cruise takes you around for a few hours before returning to the harbour. You can choose between their dim sum or afternoon tea option to dine while on board.
Their afternoon tea was just exquisite with an oriental setup and included little bites of macarons, egg tarts, scones, and other sweet and savoury treats. It was an amazing experience, eating delicious food while looking out at the sea. This is something highly recommend especially if you are in the vicinity.

Sweet Island 南岛甜品
This cute cafe is located on one of the Hong Kong islands, so you need to take a ferry to reach it. It’s quite aesthetic, adorned with cute figurines and Jay Chou posters everywhere. Some recommended items include:
- Tiramisu Cake: Did not disappoint with its rich coffee flavour.
- Soy Milk Mochi: Has a very strong soy milk taste, with soft mochi that absolutely melts in your mouth—delicious.
Address : 31 号 Yung Shue Wan Main St, Lamma Island, Hong Kong
-
Moments Together
Located in a shopping mall, this restaurant serves very authentic Shanghai food and features friendly staff. The decor includes many Chinese elements, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Some of our favourite dishes include:
- Black Truffle Soup Dumplings: The truffle flavour is not overpowering, but just right, which is great.
- Sichuan Fish with Pickled Mustard Greens: This soupy and comforting option is sour and spicy plus best paired with piping hot white rice.
Address : Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui, Austin Rd W, 1号, The Waterfront Block 3, 圆方(火區樓1008號舖)
