Have A Taste of Spanish Cuisine at These Restaurants

As Singaporeans, we are most familiar with the Indian, Chinese and Malay cuisine. However, at times, we would love to try other cuisines as well – I know I want to. I want to be able to have a taste of the unique flavours of other cuisines.

Spanish cuisine consists of flavours and cooking techniques from Spain. The dishes found in Spanish cuisine is full of herbs such as rosemary, thyme, oregano and parsley. Olive oil is also heavily used in the dishes. The use of garlic is also considered ‘common’ to all Spanish cooking.

There are several Spanish restaurants here in Singapore, serving a wide range of authentic Spanish food. Let’s take a look at some of these Spanish restaurants!

KULTO

At KULTO, diners are brought on a trip to Spain through the experience of Spanish food and décor inspired by Spanish history. It brings a part of Spain to the dining experience with iconic features of Madrid and Barcelona apartments. The dining experience at KULTO is fully taken care of by the Chefs.

KULTO offers a wide range of Spanish dishes from starters to mains to desserts. Get your hands on their starters like Japanese Uni, Ikura & Ensaladilla ($24.00), Salmon Tartare, Avocado & Ajo Blanco ($22.00) and Charcoal Grilled Spanish Calamari with Squid Ink Aioli ($22.00).

Afterwards, have a taste at some of their mains like KULTO’s Meatballs with Cuttlefish Stew ($28.00), Grilled Prawns, Garlic, Chili & Homemade Sambal ($26.00) and Paella (from $34.00). End your meal with delectable desserts such as Whisky Cake with Almonds ($14.00), KULTO Cheesecake ($12.00) and others.

Esquina

Esquina aims to evoke a sense of being in the heart of Spain with the bustling and vibrant atmosphere and contemporary cuisine showcasing Spanish and Catalan flavours. The restaurant takes pride in staying ahead of the dining scene in Singapore. Guests can expect exciting offerings from their menu.

Indulge in some of their dishes such as Slow Baked Sweet Potato ($16.00), Carabinero Prawn Paella ($34.00) and French Milk-Fed Lamb ($32.00). Afterwards, tantalise your tastebuds with desserts such as Amalfi Lemon ($15.00) and Spanish Strawberries ($15.00), made with sweet basil sorbet, burnt marshmallows and vanilla Chantilly.

Esquina also offers a list of wine for tasting such as Sherry, Cava, Port, White Wine, Red Wine and other alcoholic beverages. Similar to KULTO, Esquina also offers delivery and takeaway services for you to indulge in their dishes at home.

Tapas Club

Tapas Club has a commitment with the Spanish gastronomic heritage. Their dishes are made quality ingredients as they carefully select their ingredients to bring the real Tapas experience. The team consists of expert Chefs for a seamless dining experience.

The restaurant has a wide range of dishes to choose from. Indulge in their tapas such as Garlic Prawns ($16.00), Baked Black Cod with Escalivada ($42.00), Eggplant Chips with Honey ($16.00) and Squid Ink Croquettes ($16.00).
