Great Picnic Spots To Go With Your Friends

Want to have a fun picnic with your friends but don’t know where? Don’t worry! I’ve got your back with some great picnic spots for you and your friends. From the great outdoors to picturesque sunsets and more there is bound to be a spot that is great to visit for your next weekend getaway.

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a popular attraction that features several themed gardens like Cloud Forest, a giant conservatory, and a beautiful Supertree grove. There are plenty of grassy areas filled with colourful flowers and lush greenery providing a picturesque backdrop for a picnic. There are also benches to set up your picnic blanket.

Gardens by the Bay offers amazing views of the Marina Bay skyline and the famous Supertrees. You can also do many activities such as cycling and playing frisbee as the open spaces provide ample room to play and enjoy.

Additionally, there are clean public restrooms, picnic tables, and barbecue pits, making it a convenient and comfortable spot for picnics.

Easily accessible by public transport and car, and a short walk from the Bayfront MRT station and the Marina Bay Sands, it makes it a convenient and great Picnic spot for you and your friends.

Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning Park is a historic park located in the heart of Singapore. In addition to its several grassy areas and shady trees, there are many fascinating historical landmarks to explore.

Fort Canning Park is a site of historical significance, with interesting relics and markers that commemorate the area’s role in Singapore’s colonial past. The park also offers beautiful views of the city skyline and the Singapore River where you and friends can have deep talks at.

There are also trails that lead to scenic spots like the spice garden and the Fort Canning Green. It’s serene setting offers a break from the fast-paced life in Singapore.

Like Gardens by The Bay, the park also has public restrooms, picnic tables, and barbecue pits. Additionally, there are many food options available at the nearby Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay.

Fort Canning Park is easily accessible by public transport and car and a short walk from the Fort Canning MRT station.

Marina Barrage

Marina Barrage is a popular spot for picnics, with a large grassy area that offers stunning views of the city skyline and waterfront, especially when the sun sets.

Marina Barrage is home to a large rooftop park with a lush green lawn, making it an ideal spot for a picnic. It is a popular spot for recreational activities like kite-flying and frisbee.

After a fun picnic, you can pump your adrenaline from water activities, such as kayaking and sailing at Marina Barrage. You can rent equipment and enjoy the water with your family and friends.

Marina Barrage has public restrooms, picnic tables, and barbecue pits, making it a convenient and comfortable spot for picnics. There are also several food options available nearby like Satay by The Bay.

Labrador Nature Reserve

Labrador Nature Reserve is a serene nature reserve located on the southern coast of Singapore. It’s a great spot for picnics, with plenty of scenic viewpoints to choose from such as the rocky coastline that offers great views of the sea.

The nature reserve is home to a variety of flora and fauna, with trails that lead to scenic spots such as the rocky coastline and the mangrove swamps.

There plenty of open grassy areas, perfect for laying out a picnic blanket and enjoying your time with friends. There are also many shady trees that provide relief from the sun if you’re worried about the hot weather.

Labrador Nature Reserve is also a site of historical significance, with World War II relics and markers that commemorate the area’s role in Singapore’s military history where you can learn more about Singapore’s past.

Water activities: Labrador Nature Reserve is a great spot for water activities, such as swimming and fishing. The rocky coastline also offers great views of the sea.

The nature reserve has public restrooms, picnic tables, and barbecue pits and a wide array of food options available at the nearby Haw Par Villa and VivoCity shopping mall.
